Between those into Beastiality and those in to Furries?

I know Furries tend to dress up as an Animal and ingage in sexual acts, no?

and those into Beastiality are those who engage in sexual acts with animals.

I'm just curious as to why those two seem to go ahead and hand whenever your looking up Beastiality or having it defined there is always a mention of Furries.

Because often we don't get the facts straight and/or lump everything together in one place.

Ideally there should be no connection between the two and myself will never make that connection and risk a public event that is for family entertainment.

From what I've learned new to the furry lifestyle, there are some that will engage in sexual acts in private or a group but there are also many others that do not.

For me i'm a zoo and a furry, yes a connection in my case, but on the furry side there will be no mention of it outside of this forum or my identity for obvious security reasons.

I agree and same here as a zoo and furry.

The acts of one can harm the acts of many, but not everyone does what one individual decides in way of engaging in both worlds and making it known.

As a zoo and a furry I agreee with both of the above....There are names that will never appear on the this Forum and some that will never appear in the Furry world.

The Furry world as I know, and have seen has been very fun and in the public's eye...Not over PG-13 rated.

*sigh* you obviously got some bad data about what a furry is. Put simply, a "furry" or "furfen" is a person who is into art, animation and literature that is themed with furry characters. Furry characters, maybe termed to mean a character/person/being with animal, animal like, or anthrmorphic physical features. The term furry does not necessarily carry a sexual conotation. Mickey Mouse is a furry character, so is Maid Marion from the Disney version of Robin Hood, or Scooby Doo for that matter. Just a few better known examples of what a furry character is. But even within the furry community there are many shades of gray. If you are really interested I suggest you hit up wikipedia for some more clarification.

Being a furry or a furfen also does not mark you as being a zoophile. Like most other kinds of communities I believe that zoos and beasties are still a small fraction of that community. Albeit, they probably are a larger percentage then in the total population.

I haven't paid much attention to the furry world for a few years, but a while ago at least there were some who were extremely adamant that they are NOT zoo, not into beastie sex.

Speaking of antropomorphic characters, I always wondered about some of the ones in the old Disney material. Not the main characters, but the background man-on-the-street like in some of the Pluto comics. They're not human, and not dogs, somewhere in between.

FWIW Betty Boop was originally a dog, and she kept a dog boyfriend.

I have been a furry for the past 13 years, and only recently found out about being a zoo. There is a difference. Like others mentioned above, a furry is (in my definition) a person who likes animalistic humans (such as Robin Hood from disney's animated film or Mrs Brisby from Secret of NIHM), or animals that can speak or do human-like things (such as Balto and Bambi). They can be into the drawings, animation, stories, games, and even costuming, both the G - PG-13 tame stuff, as well as the more mature "yiffy" stuff. There are quite a few that are into dressing up in fursuits and having sex. But I have noticed that there are more communities out there that cater to the more tame stuff.

There is an enormous chunk of the furry community that is adamantly against what we do as zoos, and I used to be that way as well. I thought sex with animals was disgusting and wrong in so many ways. But I no longer hold that view. While I don't particularly see the attraction to farm animals, I am sure that there are some of you out there that wonder why I am attracted to the female canines. But, to each his own, and the old but true "beauty is in the eye of the beholder", which applies not only to humans, but animals as well.

Anyway, to bring this drawn-out spiel to a close, assuming furry is all about sex is the same as assuming all muslims are terrorists. The sex is there, but it isn't nearly as prevalent as some (such as the media) make it out to be. And I also don't use the name I use in the furry fandom here, though there is a connection.
