For me it started when I wanted nothing to do with other humans. I was living with a pair of cats at the time, and I slowly turned my attention away from humans and onto these animals. I soon began to notice all the wonderful things about their intellect and behavior that was so much more than humans tend to acknowledge. I started watching all sorts of animals with a fascination that grew into a deep love for all those furry four-legged critters, even those that I don't personally associate with. That in turn became a sexual attraction, especially for canines.

I'm with Bear, too.

When was I _not_ attracted to animals?

When I was growing up I was equally attracted to animals and humans, and over the course of years the animals have consistently been more honest than the humans. Quieter, too.

Hmmm, for me it wasn't really anything other humans did, at least not consciously. I never seemed to feel the same attraction other guys seem to have, you know, where they spot some hot chick and oogle... I simply pretended to feel the same. That said, I can of course tell when someone is cute, etc, but dont feel the same sexual drive many seem to have... for humans. I thought perhaps I was gay, but again, the attraction still wasn't there. For animals it was different, I loved being around them. Aside from physical attraction, part of it is the social acceptance and love they return. I wouldn't necessarily be opposed to a human relationship and perhaps I just haven't met the right one yet, but the attraction for animals will be there either way...

Well... I was curious as to why a woman let her dog do her when I came across a picture last week. I got curious so I went around looking for informations. And while doing so, I got interested, especially in mares. Well, actually... only in mares (I'm publicly gay... except to my family. Hence the attraction to mares instead of stallions). The attraction was purely physical at first. But after learning from experts here in BF, it became a bit more than just physical attraction and I'm pretty sure that in time it'll grow into something wonderful. Companionship will be first in my book when I get myself a mare in the future.

I always was good around animals, I used to pet-sit and that genererated my intrest with animals as companions. Animals always show compassion and love at a level most humans do not even understand, They are also very smart and they always return kindness with more kindness. The only pet I have now is a ferret, ferrets are very intelegent and a blast to watch. As for a companion I was hopeing someday for a fem k9, I want my relationship to be based on love first and allow other things to come with time.

 ,compassion, caring, devotion, loyalty all qualities of an animal companion.

I've always had a kind of kinship with pretty much any animal I've met, and one of the things I love about them is that they never have an ulterior motive for anything they do, whereas I've been stabbed in the back (figuratively of course) by people more times than I care to recount. My confidence in human decency has taken quite a beating (but isn't as bad as it once was). Its their personality that draws me in mostly.

I once had a discussion with someone who didn't understand how you could be sad when a pet dies, because he believed they are just unthinking "beasts", which I find to be complete lunacy. Just watching them and looking into their eyes you can tell there is a lot going on in there (moreso than some people I've met I'd wager).

They're always there for you, make no demands, and accept you for who you are. You are all that matters to them, and they are true friends. Always and forever.

i for one have never really had an attraction to my own species for as long as can remember. i have however had an odd (at least by "normal" standards) attraction to equines of all types ... i never really understood it but have come to accept myself for who i am and i must say i am definitely a happier person because of it :P.

I find human males gorgeous, and I enjoy their company and physical interactions, but nothing ever was as satisfying to me as sitting on the couch with my dog, watching some TV, and following up a good flick with some hard barebacking. My dog knows how to give me pleasure that no man has been equal to, I find him more beautiful and loving than any human I've ever known, and I can communicate with my boy in so many more ways than I can with my human partner. He knows that, too. He's second to my dog. :D

Above all, I still hold my friendship and relationship with my dog above any sexual feelings I have for him. I think that's what makes it such a strong zoo bond.
I've felt the same way about horses for quite some time, but am just now developing the resources to connect with some beautiful geldings. they're just as majestic as dogs are... although dogs are still my first and most devout choice.

My curiosity got aroused the day I walked into the stables and found a female down on her knees totally naked (with a large dog compared to her body size) with her hands holding his front legs around her waist as he thrust himself forward behind her buttocks with a long pink thing sticking out from under his body. Then she lowered her head down onto a feed bag and the pink thing disappeared between her parted legs as he quickly moved forward thrusting himself against her bare buttocks. I stayed there watching them for several minutes, and for some unknown reason I felt the need to rub myself between my legs. When you are with an animal they are your friend, they do not worry what someone else might say or think. Your companionship is all that they ask for.

My attraction started quite young, when a neighbor and I would hide in the barn hay loft and watch brothers and cousins having sex with female animals. Later with another neighbor, who's parents raised hound dogs, we started having sex with the in heat bitches. About the same time I also started having sex with a cousin. From that point on I had sex with females, human and animal. Over all I prefer k9s when ever I get the opportunity. :)
