Not speaking from sexual terms, but from a training/ animal behavior point of view... your dog is unhappy with that you are doing. I have a dog who "holds on" while being shown (much different situation I know) so I can understand that, but when you say "NO" and she backs off... she might be telling you she has had enough.
At the same time she might be thinking you mean "NO" stop everything... try a different command, maybe "ous!" (German for out) that's what all of my schutzhund dogs are taught. |

I;ve never have it happen, but if she isnt growling or being vicious, I would consider it a show as her showing you she is dominate?

I do horses but [again]
My old boy [stud] has to hold me some times. It is his way of expressing friendship bonding. And breeding if you can convince him the mare likes him he does hold her in his mouth wile he is covering her. He has gotten a little to expressive and I have nipped him for it sometimes. Also as he weighs 1000 lbs he has to have boundrys. My bitch will hold my hand at times walking etc. I do not think that eather critter realy knows how hard they squeeze. And if my male dog thinks I need to go someware he will take my shirt cuff and lead me. Sarx will be by and help too. Rus |

With stallions biting is entirely natural and not discouraged unless they are savaging, but I think you are talking about dogs?

It's hard to know what this means without actually seeing it. It could be that she doesn't like what you are doing, but I would think you could tell if that were the case as you really seem to care about her. It could be a displaced behavior, kinda like when they kick with their back leg when you scratch them on a spot they like. Could you just not let her take your hand in her mouth in the first place, and avoid the problem altogether? Shire. :) |

Shire: Yes, that's one solution, but I think the OP's performing some sort of act or behaviour that the dog finds ... objectionable. I'm afraid that if we give the wrong advice here, we'd wind up having two lives get very hurt in the long run.

Very true. Good point. In re-reading this I came up with another thought. You say she does this in the heat of the moment. It may be that she is comfortable taking you up until you get close to ejaculating. When a male is about to ejaculate, the size of the penis grows, especially at the head. This may be hurting her and this is her way of telling you. Just a thought. This post has been edited by ShireGuy on Jan 12 2007, 06:21 AM |

I thought something. Without seeing the rest of her body language/expression etc it's hard to put the biting/mouthing into context. From what I know of you, I'm going to assume you'd recognise if your girl just wasn't happy with what you're doing. One of my girls likes to hold something in her mouth while she's getting a scratch, and the more she's enjoying the scratching, the rougher she gets with mouthing her toy. If that's what it is (displaced behaviour as Shire put it), can she chew on something other than you? I can quite understand her kicking you off when you say "no" to the biting - after all, you're telling her she's doing something wrong and you want her to stop  (does she understand what part of the activity you want stopped  ) Your acting hurt is probably as much of a mood killer for her as her acting hurt should be for you  Just a couple of thoughts in the pot for consideration until someone more knowlegable comes along :) |

rus,she is relaxed her eyes closed ,if she dont like what i do she kicks out .and thats fine .i want her to know she can stop any time .but this isnt the case .im not holding her down and forcing her to have sex and she it not kicking out .but im getting arthritise in that hand from her bitting down .why stop it if she is not drawing blood ,,,,,,,,,it hurts .it took a long time for her to try new things during sex .im saying her now .if it didnt work so well she would get very shy it took a lot of time for her to open up and let her self go .thats why im not so eager to pull my hand away andsay your doing some thing wrong .well thanks for the replys take care.

Well, dogs DO derive pleasure from chewing things...just look at how they'll lie down and enjoy a femur bone from the butcher. After all, they don't have opposable thumbs, so most of their interaction is done orally (or with body language) Maybe that's her way of enjoying the moment more. If your hand is taking a beating, try swapping your hand for a chewstick, or bone, or whatever she likes.
Just a suggestion! ^_^ --Studdog |
