Full erections happen pretty quickly, depending if the dog actually is interested it might be as fast as 80% done in 30 seconds if you are doing it by hand. It takes some time for it to go away... few minutes in my experience. If they are knotted they can retain that for much, much longer, but without any simulus its still a few minutes.

And by the way... posting links like that is heavily frowned upon... if I were you I'd edit it out sooner than later. That rule is pretty clear...
