Thanks for your comments ... yes, we are snug in home ... the weather in the central Bay hills is really nice.

Thaurunas and k9xtc ... men can still feel like husbands and lovers even with a dog in the family. Love is not sex and sex is not love. Brad's life is now pretty good including sex. Just mental and psychological adjustments in attitude and expectations were needed.
Men who identify with their cock as a major component of self image will be disappointed. A dog's cock can do to a woman what no human can. But there are huge benefits to the couple once this is recognized. Sex is sex and love is love. Men can participate in the experiences of their women. This can be incredibly satisfying and fulfill the desires of some women so that all of the sex is kept "in the family" rather than the huge risks of outside lovers.
So, men please understand that you are not robbed of your manhood but that you just need to take advantage of the new realities.

I'm not really worried that a dog could ever take my place. If that was a common threat, then by natural selection all men would have enormous cocks that squirt gallons of hot juice and muscles that are capable of ultra rapid fucking movements. That you claim this is in fact one of the things that irk me the most. There are many forms of love, and for a certain kind, sex is 100% important. That you would assume that when that kind is not available, men should just put up with a different kind, is pretty damn disrespectful and even selfish.

In a monogamous society where other factors such as financial stability and success provide the attraction of a mate, penis size is not critical and the penis need only function for reproduction with a monogamous spouse.

Sex need not be the cementing element of relationships. Ann and Brad can find the balance among the competing desires where "love" is the mutual desire to stay together and work to find the balance. Ann loves and respects Brad but this does not mean that she surrenders her desires to accommodate his. Nor does this mean that she can fulfill her desires without regard to his. Love and respect are the basis upon which they decide to work it out.

Part of what I tried to convey in the telling is the give and take as the balance is shocked by the introduction of Andy, the dog. A new sexual element will disturb any relationship. And, as I have warned many times, a well performing dog will change the dynamics for the woman and the man must be prepared to change his attitude and desires should he desire to stay in the relationship. And, some men have left the relationship while others find the added sexual excitement worth it.

This is not to emasculate men but to have them recognize that there are benefits and risks.
