Well it took me awhile but I found the first 8 Minutes of the movie, it reveals the "Secret" so if you don't want to be spoiled don't go watch. And since, if I read the rules right, I can't post a link to the file and I can't find a way to convert the file, yet. I will just tell you where to find it, and if anyone finds the part where she tells her fiancée or where anyone else mentions it I would like to see that part as well.

So simply go to Google then Videos and then type in Sleeping Dogs Lie and find the file labeled SLEEPING DOGS LIE- FIRST 8 MINUTES, it should be on the first page.

I think I have been within the rules, but if not I apologize.

QUOTE (newbie dog lover @ Mar 1 2007, 03:37 AM)
i have just finished watching this movie and i absolutly recommend it to everyone
the story with the girl and her parents reaction to her dog loving is wonderful.
the only downside i saw was that she kept trying to say what she did was awful and a mistake.

oh and there is a big part that made me cry my heart out.

all in all i think this is a great movie which is going on my favourite movies of all time list. even if it didnt have the animal link it still would.. as its also a soppy romantic film which im a total sucker for

huge 10/10 from me for it :D :D

I am so jealous that you saw this movie already! <_<

There are at least two other threads about this movie, and in one I mentioned that the film was in theaters in the USA in October '06 (I didn't know about it back then), and theatrical release in France was in late February '07... I see from your profile that you are in UK... is it in theaters there also?

Here in the USA we have to now wait for the DVD release date of April 10. If I had the extra finances, I would take a trip to Europe to see it. Actually, if I had the money, I would visit Europe again regardless! The movie would be a bonus!
^_^

*sigh* Guess I'll just have to wait...

i umm 'acquired' it from 'somewhere' ;)

im keeping that vague as im not sure what references we're are allowed to make to things that arent quite legal

i plan to buy it as soon as its released on dvd, even if i have to order it from abroad and get a multi region player :D

warning: small spoiler/ quote from the movie in this post. If you don't want to know, skip to the bottom of my post.

Thanks for the suggestion to watch the first 8 minutes, Supreme Legate! I think my favorite quote is when she says, "I could never tell anyone, anyone, not friends, although it would be a hell of an icebreaker at a cocktail party: 'Anyone here besides me know what canine semen tastes like?'"
:P

newbie dog lover ( or shall i say, "blue"?)- Well the USA release is April 10, I'm not sure about UK. I'm hoping we get an option for the French language track (my second language-I like watching movies in English then in French ^_^ ), if not I'll be looking to buy a copy from "across the pond" too. ^_^ In addition to the copy I buy here on April 10th! Silly, silly me.

Well I just got and watched the movie, lets not get into the how. It is in Windows Media Player format. If anyone would like, and if I can figure out how, I could post some small bits of it. And assuming none of this gets me in trouble.

I watched the movie about 2 days ago. I found it on the torents.

I think it could had been done better. needed less of the family drama and more comedy that could have been made of the main subject.

I am happy I did not pay to see the flick.

I downloaded it, it was just...eh. The premise was interesting, but beyond that they failed to deliver on anything that rose above, "Wow, she blew a dog, that's so wrong, tee hee!"

Yesterday I was in Hollywood video and I saw this movie in the new release section, and I have to say I found it kinda funny. Anyway, I was wondering if anyone knew if it had any special features, I did not think to look until I had left, and if it was worth getting just to see them, I have already downloaded and seen the movie.

Also I had a thought when I saw it; this could be a good movie to judge if your partner is into this or not. Because you could judge their reaction to the scene where she blows (implied) the dog, if nothing else it could be an opener to a conversation on the subject.

QUOTE (Särx @ Oct 11 2006, 09:11 PM)
"An impulsive sexual encounter (with a dog) from her past haunts Amy, an otherwise seemingly normal young woman with a bright future and nice-guy fiancé. But her fiancé
has suggested that the couple be completely honest and tell each other everything! When Amy finally relents, encouraged to tell the truth by her coworker
and mother (neither of whom really knows what she has to disclose), and reveals her secret, all hell breaks loose."

Sounds like they're portraying it fairly negatively to me...

There's a trailer...

they do potray it as negative sarx, but its still a good movie none the less and imo worth watching.

I dont let negative comments get me down honestly, never will and im very open about being a zoo. If you have a good heart and dont let negative things get you down, it is a fairly humurous and funny movie and like i said worth watching.

There are only trailers to other movies & a commentary by the Director that was ok but nothing great. I'd give the movie 7/10 because it switches from a happy comedy to a sad drama about 2/3 into the movie. It is a great movie to see if your friends are zoo friendly since I know know that two of my friends aren't.

Then I guess not, becuase the only part ofthe commentary I would be interested would be at the parts where she first blows the dog and then when she tells her boyfriend. And even then I would rather hear her throughts on it than his.

I wonder if there is an interveiw with her about this movie.

I watched the film some time ago, and I found it to be fairly enjoyable. I was a little surprised by the turn away towards the dramatic end, mostly because the cover image seemed to give the idea that the movie was predominately a comedy film. For that reason, I have mixed feelings about the final half of the movie. Given the events that happen, it leans toward a negative display of bestiality, but it does a good job of starting out with the humor.

If you're looking for movies that promote zoophilia, this isn't one of them, but I can see how it'd be a good movie to gauge other people's reactions on the subject. Since the sexual act is only implied and never shown, it's shouldn't make non-zoos too uncomfortable to watch.

I'd say it's worth watching at least once if you're interested in it. I almost feel like watching it again, maybe I'll get around to it.

I just got finished watching the movie. I really enjoyed it. It is a flick about Life. Life is funny and sad. Honesty , trust, betrayal, love, acceptance,.......

I could never tell Anyone ! (unless i met them somewhere like here ) My wife of 14 yrs never knew I was active with my dog. Some things are better left un-said maybe. At least in my experience concerning Zoo. Zoo and Beast are just way too Taboo in "mainstream" society.

It was a good flick about life and the ups and downs and learning we go through everyday.

The very opening scene was very Exotic.

I give it a two wags of my tail up :P and a :puppykiss:
