my youngest g/s dog just went into her horney stage of heat .she is three years old ,the first time i made love to her i slid right in the second time it was harder to get in and now i cant even get in but maby an inch or two is this normal for heat she backs up to me raises her tail and then looks at me as if to say ha ha ha ha out of heat we have sex all the time and it fits never had this happin with my other girls is this normal for it to tighten up as heat gos on .or do i need to work on getting her to relax more seems she tenses up or somthing .whats your take on it .

I've always found that bitches got a little tighter during heat...everything is swelling up, but it just takes a little more care and patience getting started.

well she does this now ,she backs up to me you manage a few strokes then she runs off then comes right back for more she even seems like she crys a littel when she runs off and it comes out but she comes right back for more my two other girls never ran off in the middel i dont get what she wants or what she is doing any ideas

Hmmm... Have you used just your fingers on her? Does she react the same if you do? I've seen some dogs mating where the bitch runs off aftera few thrusts from the male, then returns again shortly, and that goes on for a little while...
Personally I'd try relaxing her more with your fingers etc.. and see how she reacts to that.

Also, you might want to consider a vet check up to make sure that's everything's alright as far as her reprooductive tract goes, there are a few things that can go wrong during a bitch's heat. There is a lot of swelling during a heat, but it usually doesn't progressively swell more throughout the heat from my knowledge, and signs of discomfort, pain, or unusual swelling when there was none before, should be a red flag.

Another thing to think about is during her heat her hormones are raging and mentally she's not the same dog, very high strung during this time...being 3 I guess it's not the first time she's been in heat with you around. I would also try missionary with her, rub your head around inside her, get her even more excited, and try to slide a little more in as you go, my bitches always loved this, even when not in heat. I guess with the dogs you have you've probably experienced much of this. A few dogs even just enjoyed my mounting and humping against them without any penetration, might want to do this a few times to calm her down some and then try to penetrate.

i just had her to the vet when the first stage lasted two weeks every thing is fine the vet said just an extended heat cycle ,yes i used my fingers and she does the same thing a few strokes and she runs away but then comes back i cant remember her doing this before she is very vocal she will wine till she gets it then runs off its driving me nuts maby if i hold her and not let her run off it would help but then i would feel like i took advantage of her ooooooooo well i gess ill do it her way thanks for the replys

Might just have to try and get her to calm down, as much as that's possible with a bitch in heat... Maybe try a nice long walk (somewhere secluded if possible, away from someplace you'd run into other dogs), the excersize may be relaxing for her...

As was suggested, maybe missionary? Or at least play with her while she's laying down (on he rside or back), but let her do what she wants to do I guess. :)

You could always take her back to the vet and say that she is having problems when another dog tries to mate with her. Maybe you can get him to use an endoscope and check her out on the inside.

I don't mean to sound flippant, Mopar, but how much foreplay are you doing with her? A large part of precoital activity involves very active and sometimes, what would seem to humans, rough foreplay. It maybe you're not taking enough of the emotional edge off her prior to coitus, and this recurrent "teasing" behavior is her response to the need of a little more physicallity to the love making sessions. Of course we can't see her behavior over the net, so suggestions about what she's doing are speculation at best. Sorry I can't be more helpful. Also with regard to the tightness, have you tried using additional lubricants? Her labia obviously swell up this time and you're not saying if its a matter of her vaginal canal actually being too taut, or her swollen labia "bunching up" as it were as you are trying to insert your glans. Keep us updated.

its her mucels that tighten up as i go in but i was told she has no control over them its a reflex .after her heat she should go back to normal .this has just bin a realy strange heat the vet tells me she is fine .gess time will tell thanks for the replys mopar
