Itzwolf sounds like you have the best handle on the situation. I like safe first.

factoid one if it was Poison Ivey (or oak) or similar the reaction would still be there today 11 days later It was two weeks for me. You can go to medical sights and look up allergies as an alternative to shelling out money for an allergist but a solution is probably going to cost something.

factoid two allergies sometimes gets worse not better from repeated exposures. It depends on the allergy

Factoid three there could be any number of allergens that could cause the reaction the dog in question is one but the dog could have carried the allergen.

Factoid four allergies rarely come in signals. You may have one serous one and a few miner but usually it's a set. You might wont to know what they are to better your quality of life

My advice if you don't think it worth it don't proceed I can't image how I'd be if I were in your shoes. Allergies can be lethal but there are ways around everything. If you want a solution start doing research I whish I could give you a good place to start. Maybe try to Google allergy meds and look for the research and development. At this date you've ether got help or gotten better. God forbid you are still getting worse.

The thing about life is living it. If your live would be enhanced in your opinion, then look for a solution please don't just give up. But it you truly believe that this isn't worth investing some of your life into then by all means go on with your life and cherish or forget what happened as you choose. Please tell us what you've decided or at least something

Hope your well
