Actually, I knew of someone who was just allergic to dog sperm, but not to dogs themselves.

A friend of mine has exactly that problem, which is only partly alleviated by anti-allergy tablets. A great shame :(

most doctors if you ask will tell you that having sex with animals is safe ,that nothing will happin you cant get any thing from a dog ,that is what i was told ,well let me tell you you can .im alergic to my dogs spit every time i get blown i get sick,i can kiss them but if its a french kiss i get sick but i can have sex with them with out getting sick ,dont figure but im in to deep to stop sick or not i love my girls and the only way im stopping is if i die .

I wouldn't feel bad Cattlebreeder, it's one of the last things you could ever expect to happen. Thankfully the reaction wasn't any worse than that, and he got to find out something about himself that was very useful to know.

well it could be something about dog semen having huge amounts of protien in it which is kind of like people being allergic to the sun..their not really allergic to the sun they get a reaction from the huge amounts of vitamin D their body produces from being in the sun...

Poison ivy is possible out in the woods, the dog might have gotten some of the highly allergenic urushiol resin on his fur or muzzle. That could explain the rashes where the dog touched or licked you. If it is poison ivy, then avoiding it - and getting the dog to avoid it - could help.

But if it is the dog? :crying: Allergies are always to specific substances, and it could be a protein specific to that particular dog, or just in dog semen, or it could be something common to all dogs. Only testing can determine that.

Recommend you get an appointment with an allergest. Tell the doc that you were playing out in the woods with a friends dog and got a rash. Do Not go into the sexual details! They can test you and see if you are allergic to any common dog allergens, and also test for any common woodland allergens too. I doubt they have an allergen test for dog semen. :blush:

If you find out you are allergic to dogs, the doctor can advise you on the best course of treatment, perhaps medication or de-sensitizing shots. You may have to start carrying an "Epi-pen" and learn how to use it if your allergies get out of hand - it can be life threatening.

And you might have to learn how to put a condom on the dog! :D

That certainly sounds like a reaction to the dog semen. My wife had a similar, though not as severe, reaction when she did the dirty with the pooch. So I really do think that you had a severe allergic reaction to the dog. The symptoms are classic, and are likely to get worse if you try it again. However, all is not lost. You could always put a condom on the dog, or get a female condom, and put that in yourself before letting the dog mount. Remember, oral is out of the question too. His semen in your mouth would probably cause the same reaction. And it's probably not just this dog, either. You could have this reaction with any male dog. It's hard to know for sure, but it's probably not worth the risk.

I had alergys but mostly out grew them but they were bad got shots.
If you can get tested.
If you are that sencitive you may find it life saving.
also if it is enviormental you should know.

well, i think what he meant from you cant get anything from dogs is diseases, you can be allergic to most anything. And certainly if you kiss a dog right after he's licked his ass there are the same types of infections that can occur from ingesting human feces, and some even nastier.


But, i actually knew a woman who was allergic to semen (she was married too, which made things difficult). Its not surprising considering what semen is comprised of, which includes ammonia which is an irritant in and of itself

:mellow: Well it is quite interesting as now days you read of people allergic to peanuts, pecans, almonds and etc. And nowdays you see on labels of warnings as to some foods/nuts etc., may have been accross such conveyors and may have comtaminanites too people that have allergie to certian nuts. So this may be the same thing???? As for me I did not know that I am allergic to anti-venioum, as I was bit by a 12" rattler, and when I got the anti, I broke into hives. So Who Knows What is going to happen???? There is new anti-vemon meds out now but they cost more but you don't get the reaction!!!!! Just beware of yur surroundings and if you know of venoumous snakes, just be careful. I knew my situation, but still got caught!!!!!!! Hope yoiu find a solution?

If you try again see if you can get an epi-pen to have on hand in case the reaction gets worse (a bad reaction could kill you).

I'd experiment a bit as others suggested, to confirm the cause of the problem.

If I were you, I'd just try to meet up with the person again and his dog, in a different place and do it all again, and see what happens. As MaleTom said the dog male have walked through something that got on you. Try it again, and see. If nothing happens, then I'd say you would be free to do it as much as you like then.. But you will never know for sure unless you try it again with the same dog, but like at your house or hotel someplace clean. :unsure: :beer: Do hope it will work out for you so you can do it, it is a shame to miss out on something that is so great in life. :devil2:

You know what else is great about life....life...ever seen someone in anaphylactic shock, it's not pretty, better have 911 on speed dial too if things don't work out right. As far as the dog getting into something in the woods...most likely the symptoms wouldn't go away so quickly if it was poison ivy or something similar.
Like I said earlier, get a little dog semen, put it on the back of your hand and see what the reaction is...very much the same as an allergist would do...don't put your life at risk just for a little fun.
