I would say "F :badwords: them, and the horse they rode in on", but then I remembered, they most likely don't like horses...... I don't care what anyone thinks, they are entitled to their opinions, no matter how wrong that opinion might be. What I do in my house, is my business, as far as THAT goes. <_<

I'd agree with canine, poeple are and should be allowed to have thier own opinions, how can we ask acceptence if we don't show the same? But what more people need to do is open up thier closed minds a bit, and I agree, what me and my girl do in our bedroom is just that, it's me and my girl and is between us, and no one else, they should just stay out of our bedrooms. what we do there is our buisness not thiers. It's not like we go criticizing what they do in thier bedrooms, as for me the mear thought of being with another human almost makes me sick, I am strongly truned off by humans, only female dogs for me. But i don't go around chastizing others for it, what they do is thier business.

Society and culture are a form of restraint on who we are. They rob us of our true self identities no matter how much of a "freedom" we are getting out of them. In the end, I'd say, ignore those people, for they are forever being blinded by the corrupted nature of our culture.

Oh, that doesn't mean I hate human race or the human culture. I'm stating that sometimes we need to have another option of living our lives instead of one that social norm is telling us what to do.

The way the question is phrased, it is tricky for me to give an answer. It depends if the people judge us before or after being informed about what it really is, and it also depends on their reason for judging us.

Most often, people's reason for judging sexual acts between human and non-human, is before they have any information about it, and before they knowingly have a relation with someone who is a zoophile/bestialist.

The most common reaction when I came out to people was: "Oh, I really thought that sex with animals is always bad, but since I know you, and I know how much you care about animals, now I do not think that it is wrong."

One of my friends thought it was wrong, but she couldn't find the words to explain why she thought it was wrong. I.e. she thinks it is wrong, because it feels wrong to her, and it is disgusting to her. Yet, she did accept that I was a zoophile, even though she thinks it is wrong. I do not mind that. She does not think it is bad enough for me to be a bad person, just that it is wrong.

I can very well understand the people who think it is wrong, and who feels repulsed by it. Personally, I am repulsed by the thought of humans having sexual relations. It is nothing unusual to be repulsed by all other sex acts than those that arouse you. It is a most natural response that they have little control over.

However, it is when this natural disgust makes them unable to think rationally, that I feel that they are not doing right. They should look at it rationally, think about it, before they condemn something as being harmful to the animals. Clearly some things are harmful to the animals, and some things are not.

But what people don't know about, is easy to get prejudiced about. They believe that people who are attracted to animals, are unable to have enough sense and judgement to make sure that the animals are enjoying the interraction. They have heard about horse-ripping in the news... "Oh, it is those sick bastards." Very easy for ordinary people to feel like this.

The only way to prevent people from being prejudiced is to provide them with accurate information. Such as all my friends having their view of it being wrong, before they knew that I was a zoophile.

Since it has been a lot about bestiality in the news here in Sweden the past few days, since it's been reported about people from Sweden going to the Animal brothels in Denmark, several of my colleagues and friends I know through work has been discussing it. Everyone has been condemning animal sex as being sick and wrong, even the people who are intelligent, kind and understanding people.

From what information they have on the subject, I understand why they feel that way. Going to an animal brothel? Doesn't show much caring about the animal if you ask me. Cutting up horse's genitals? Doesn't show much caring either.

So, no I don't hate them for judging us. They are misinformed, and they have not been given correct information, and a chance to feel any different about it, than the first initial reaction, which is most understandably disgust.

Given the chance to seriously reflect about what zoophilia really is, many of the people who judge us on first sight, are likely to think differently when they know more about it.

I don't understand why one should hate people because they have not been given the chance to reflect properly upon something. Besides, what good will hating do? Why sink to someone else's low level?

Brilliant response Svansfall, a 10 vote for you :D
I think you've probably covered everything I can say on the subject lol.

I hate it when people just think its sick because that's what society expects, but I don't hate them for thinking it, I hate society for teaching that zoophilia is wrong.

As you said Svansfall, all most "normal" people know about zoophilia is what is in the media (so the sexual abuse of animals etc). So what are these people going to think? So again, I don't blame the people for thinking it, but more the media and society in general for portraying us as something we are not.

So really, I don't hate the people who hold these opinions (as it would really make us no better than they think we are), but I hate the actual opinions and the society which creates false impressions of zoophiles.

Svansfall speaks wise words that would be great if only those who judge could read and inwardly digest.

Thankyou Svansfall for that interesting and to the point article, I think you made some very important pointers that ALL who come into contact with animals in whatever way should heed.

I too agree that people have the right to their opinion.
I just think it's unfortunate how close minded, and quick to react people can be. It's frustrating when people don't even allow anyone to share information, it's like, as soon as they hear that first word they just shut down their ears and don't let you get a single other word in (and I'm talking about in general, not just for certain taboo topics.)
Society and the media have brought a lot of disappointing restraints and pre-conceived notions unto the world...It's really too bad, but there's no point in dwelling on it.

I really dont care about people who judge us, whether they are the kind of people who absolutely hate us, or just tolerate us. I basically dont care about what they think or have to say about us, we are who we are and no ones gunna change it. I hide my zoo relations cuz i know too many people and have too many strong relationships for it just to tumble over if someone finds out. But in a nutshell, *straightee's* can kiss my a** ( :censored: ) They have no idea about how i feel, so why should i care how they feel. Simple as that.

As a person who will honestly admit that he was once not as open-minded as he is now, I can say that I do not hate those who think we are perverted/evil/wrong, etc. I do think many are ignorant, restrained by our society and culture, and simply may have never sat down and considered the possibility that a loving, caring relationship between human and animal can actually exist.

I can certainly understand the images that society holds us to, given the actions of a few bad apples who have given us the appearance of rapists, pedophiles, or worse. However, the vast, vast majority of us (I hope!) are not like that.

I am also nominally involved with a website that tracks currency, and involves marking on bills. A large part of the general public has the belief that adding writing or stamps to bills is absolutely illegal, where in practice, it is not (as long as you don't go overboard). It's a common misconception that has been fueled by myth, half-truths, and a few idiots writing foul language on bills. I think this is somewhat comparable to the situation zoophiles are in--though, of course, loving relationships that are considered wrong by society are far more relevant than tracking pieces of paper
