Yes, a dog will remove the desire for the company of freeloading men just to have sex. These men can only cause problems. They can take your money and leave a woman with a terrible case of STD's and a broken heart.

The mouths of most dogs are clean especially if you know the dog. Smoked cattle hooves and other chewy items help to keep their teeth clean. Yes, some dogs will eat and drink some stuff you would never have in your mouth. If your dog has eaten some of this stuff before oral sex, brush his teeth and rise out his mouth. But normally, the dog’s mouth is clean enough for sex. His tongue is what does all the work.

If he has bad doggie breath, clean his mouth. Even if he may not cause you a problem, why suffer through bad breath?

If you see abscesses or sores in his mouth, get him to the vet. While a dog cannot normally pass STD’s to you, he may have a lot of bacteria in sores that may cause a problem. Wait until his abscesses heal.

If you are into picking up strays (which I do not recommend) make certain that you check them out and clean them up.

I am strictly a two dog girl; only Captain and Buddy. Since dogs have a much shorter life than women, I expect that some day I too will have to replace my dog. But I am not one to "sleep around" with other dogs. Also, very few women know that I am K9 so my access to other dogs is limited. I know that I could "borrow" a dog or two from Beth but I have not felt the need.

Relatioships among people are so much more complex than among animals. A dog instictively knows the rules of the pack and the relationships within a pack. Know and understand these rules and you can keep a dog happy and dedicated. Simple compared to keeping another human happy.

So many find having a dog to be very satisfying while trying to maintain a human relationship frustrating. With risks come greater rewards; a successful human relationship is much richer than one with a dog.
