Great great story! I have to admit I was hoping for some boy on boy action between the main character and the male GSD, but that's just me. ;) Other than that, was incredibly good story, a true 11 on a scale of 1 to 10! |

Ok, here's more.......
Chapter 13 The next morning dawned beautifully. I awoke stretched out beside Paige, my back towards her, with her spooned up against me with her arm loosely around my neck. I vaguely remembered a series of very satisfying dreams from the night before. I was feeling all warm and fuzzy, literally. Rolling over gently, I saw Tina snuggled up against Paige’s back sleeping peacefully. This was just about pure heaven. Reaching out with my muzzle, I licked Paige tenderly on the cheek a couple of times. She stirred awake and kissed me back. “Good morning, Beautiful,” I told her “Don’t lie to me, boy,” she said with a grin. “I always look like hell in the morning.” “Well, you look beautiful to me,” I answered. Paige wriggled out from between Tina and me and stumbled towards the bathroom to shower, walking sorta bowlegged and rubbing her crotch. “OH MY GOD!!” she said. “I feel like I’ve been screwed by some huge, big-peckered dog! I’ll be sore for a month.” “Uhhhh, I think that’s what did happen,” I said timidly. “Well, if I find him, I’m gonna beat the fur off of his butt,” she yelled from the bathroom. I got up and stretched really good, then shook like crazy from head to tail, and I was ready to go for the day. Another good thing about being a dog; you don’t have to bathe every day. After Paige got out of the shower, she let Tina and I out for a romp and to relieve ourselves. Tina wanted to mate again, but somehow, I was able to resist her advances and her almost overpowering scent. I knew that I needed to wait a while longer, to give my balls some more time to make new sperm cells, increasing my chances of fertilizing all of her eggs. After Paige got ready, she fed Tina and then made a delicious breakfast for us. After breakfast, Tina and I went back out for a few minutes, then, when we came back in, Paige put Tina in her crate, and then she got out the new leash. “Ok, Big Boy! Time for your public debut!” she said, with eyes dancing. “Are you ready?” Letting loose with a deep, loud bark and bounding to the door gave her my answer. We got into her RAV4, and I sat in the front passenger seat, having to duck my head somewhat to clear the roof. I was excited about getting out into public as a dog, but then I realized that I would be taking several shots at the vet’s, and I never like getting shots. Needles scare me. It was only a few blocks to Bowen Small Animal Clinic so we were there in a couple of minutes, but I enjoyed the smiles of a few people who saw us and noticed me sitting in the front seat. Paige clipped the leash onto my collar, and told me to wait until she was out of the car, and I could jump over the console and get out on her side. “And no squalling and wallowing on the floor when you get your shots, either,” she scolded with a grin on her face. When Paige opened the clinic door and we walked in, I was almost overwhelmed by the combined smells of countless other dogs and cats, plus the strong smell of disinfectant. There were some people already in the waiting room and when they saw me, I detected fear and/or worry start emanating from a couple of them. I tried to look interested but not threatening, while Paige signed us in and got a clipboard from the receptionist with the usual paperwork to fill out for new customers. One matronly looking lady snatched her little Yorkie up off of the floor and sat him in her lap protectively. Another girl, sitting next to her dad, clutched her cat to her chest tightly, and the cat looked at me, his pupils dilated with fear. A little boy, about six years old, exclaimed, “WOW!!! That’s a BIG dog! What kind of dog is he?” I could tell he wasn’t afraid of me, but his mother was pulling him back as the smell of caution and concern wafted from her. She had a black lab puppy in her lap. “He’s a German Shepherd Dog,” Paige answered him. “And you can pet him if you want to. He’s a really nice dog. He won’t bother any of your dogs or your cat, either,” she said to the rest of the people in the room. “Can I pet him, Mama? Can I?” the little boy begged. His mother was hesitant. “It’s Ok,” Paige told her. “He really does love kids. In fact he’s going to be getting his Therapy Dog Certification soon.” I sat down beside Paige, looking at the boy and his mother with a happy expression on my face, panting expectantly with my tongue out slightly, and my tail wagging. “Well, Ok…,” the mother said reluctantly, “But be careful.” And the little boy immediately rushed over and put his hand out petting my head. His hands and face smelled of peanut butter and jelly and the lab pup. His petting was actually quite enjoyable and I laid a quick lick on his cheek and he laughed. I raised up my right paw and he took it and shook it. That broke the tension in the room. This was fun. “Hey Mama! He’s shaking hands with me!” he yelled back to his mother, who was now smiling. “What’s his name?” he asked, turning back to me. “His name is Rex.” Paige answered him. “Hey Rex! Can I give you a hug?” the boy asked, excited. I could feel his sincerity and longing for affection. I answered him by giving him another lick on his cheek and he threw his arms around my shoulders, giving me a big bear hug and burying his nose in my neck fur. I put one of my front legs behind his back and returned his hug. My head was over his shoulder, and as I looked around the room, everybody was smiling, including the receptionist and the girl with the cat. This was really fun….. He finally broke our hug, and went happily bouncing back to his mother. “Wanna see my puppy?” he asked with excitement. “His name is Luke!” “That’s a fine looking puppy!” Paige told him. “And I bet he’s a good dog too.” “Yeah! But he pees on the floor!” the boy said with zeal, to the embarrassment of his mother, as everybody in the room chuckled. “Zach, sit back down now, so the lady can get her paperwork filled out,” his mother said, causing the boy to deflate somewhat as he climbed back up in the chair beside her. “Well, all puppies do that when they’re little, even Rex did it. And he’ll soon learn not to do that, so be patient with him,” Paige told him, sweetly. “Ok, I will!” the boy said earnestly. Paige went across the room and sat down and started filling out the forms, and I sat down in front of her. I looked around the rest of the room and then I noticed a beautiful Golden Retriever sitting in front of a guy a few feet away. She was a little hesitant and cautious but she wanted to meet me. I thought it would be nice to meet her and concentrated on sending her that message. She got up wagging and took a couple of steps towards me, and I did the same. Our leashes were long enough that we could reach each other and we touched noses briefly. Then we both turned sideways so we could smell under each other’s tail, genital area, and inside of a back leg. Then after we had learned each other’s scent, we touched noses again and gave each other a couple of licks on the cheek and muzzle. I was learning that this was the standard canine greeting, among friendly dogs at least. She was clean smelling and obviously well cared for. I looked up at her owner, and he was watching us and smiling. Once she was assured that I was also a friendly dog, she wanted to romp, but we couldn’t in the waiting room. So we just sat down beside each other and nibbled and pawed at each other a little bit. “Rex, come here,” I heard Paige say, suddenly jolting me out of my playtime with the Golden. I got up and trotted the couple of steps to her. “Would you give this back to the receptionist for me, please?” she asked me and unclipped my leash. “Oh, this is gonna be fun!” I thought. Taking the clipboard gently in my teeth, I turned and trotted over to the counter to where the receptionist was sitting and reared up on it with my front paws, and set the clipboard down right in front of her. With an astonished look on her face, she reached out and took the clipboard and then gave my head a pat. “Good Boy!” she told me. I gave her a happy, silly-face look back and then hopped down and trotted back to a smiling Paige, who clipped my leash back on me. “Thank you!” Paige said, and I answered with a quick little “Erf!” as a ‘You’re Welcome’, then sat back down next to the Golden. “Pretty smart dog you have there,” the Golden’s owner said to Paige, and I could detect that he wanted to hit on her. “Yes he is. He’s wonderful,” she answered, and I could tell that she wasn’t falling for it. I was proud of her. About that time, he and the Golden were called to come back to one of the examination rooms. We sat there for another half hour or so, until our names were called. The young vet assistant’s eyes got big when she saw me coming, and I detected some apprehension coming from her. “Is he a nice dog?” she asked a little hesitantly. “Oh yeah! He’s a big ole sweetie! Aren’t you, Rex?” Paige answered, rubbing my head. I looked at both of them with a happy face with my tongue hanging out of the side of my mouth. The vet assistant reached out and petted my head and scratched my ears lightly, and I leaned into her hand a little, then deftly licked it a couple of times. I sensed her apprehension melt away. “You ARE a sweetie!” she said cheerfully. “Ok, if you’ll wait in here, Dr. Bowen will be with you very shortly. She led us into one of the examination rooms where we sat for another few minutes until Dr. Bowen came in. He introduced himself to Paige and then looked at me and at my chart. “Holy Moley!! What a huge German Shepherd!” he said, genuinely surprised. “I see that Phil Stevens referred you to me. I like him and Schultz a lot. Good guy and good dog. How is Phil doing?” he asked. I was getting good feelings from Dr. Bowen and was already liking him. “He’s doing great. He was at my house yesterday for lunch, and to check out Rex,” she answered. “I just got Rex in from Russia, from one of the same sources that the kennel that raised Schultz gets their breeding stock. I’m not really sure about the vaccinations that he has had, and I want to verify his health, so I want to start from scratch on him, and get a complete physical, all his shots, and anything else that you think he needs. Oh, I’m planning on competing him and breeding him, so I want his hips re-certified and his eyes and elbows too.” The doc smiled, and I could tell that he appreciated Paige’s good thinking and thoroughness. “Great! Very good idea!” he said enthusiastically. “First, let’s get Rex on this lift table so I can raise him up to working height, and we’ll get his weight also.” There was a low, stainless steel platform against the wall of the room. Its top was about two feet wide and four feet long, with a vertical back sticking up about two feet also. To the Doc’s surprise, without another word being said, I immediately walked onto the lift platform and stood still. “Son of a gun… He knows what to do! Smart dog!” Doc Bowen said, with his head tilted to the side a little. There was a digital scale built into the platform and it read 167 pounds, and he wrote it down in my chart. “He’s just showing off,” Paige said, with a grin and a gleam in her eyes. The Doc pushed a button on a small control panel on the wall, and the platform raised me up to about two and a half feet above the floor. He examined me very thoroughly; poking, prodding, looking, and feeling everywhere, then listened to my heart and lungs. Then he took blood and stool samples (not fun!!), and gave me several vaccination shots. The shots didn’t hurt at all, thankfully. We had to wait a few more minutes for the results of all the tests, and Dr. Bowen pronounced me perfectly healthy and free from parasites. He told Paige that he had never seen a German Shepherd as large and as well built as I am. He said that since they put dogs under full anesthesia when they X-ray their hips and elbows for their OFA certification, I would have to come back for that. Paige asked him why they put them to sleep for that procedure, and he told her that it was so that the dog would be totally relaxed so they could get him into the correct positions. She told the Doc that I might be able to get into those positions and hold them long enough without being anesthetized. Doc Bowen looked doubtful. “Just for grins, let’s try him right here and see if he can do it. You’ll be surprised how cooperative he is,” she encouraged him. “Well, I guess it won’t hurt to try it,” the Doc said, still doubting. “First, let’s roll him onto his back with all four paws in the air.” I thought about immediately rolling over, but I quickly decided to wait, and not surprise the Doc too much on this first visit. Paige looked at me and said “Rex, roll over,” and I rolled onto my back and relaxed with all four paws in the air. Doc was still not convinced. “Now this is the hard part,” he continued. “We have to straighten out his back legs and hold them parallel to each other, and rotate his knees inward somewhat, then get him to hold them there long enough for an X-ray.“ “Rex, stay still,” Paige prompted. He gently pulled my back legs out straight, pushing down on my knees, and I concentrated on relaxing and holding still. He moved my legs and hips into a position that was fairly uncomfortable, but not unbearable. “This is the position. I’m amazed that this dog will let us do this to him, especially with him not really knowing either of us well. It’s a shame we aren’t on the X-ray table right now. He’s perfectly set up for the shot.” “I was told before I bought him, that this was a really special dog, very cooperative, eager to please, and exceedingly smart,” Paige said, with a hint of pride in her voice. “Well, I am truly amazed. You got a good one, that’s for sure. If you can wait around for another 30 minutes or so, we’ll do the hip and elbow X-rays today. Also, since you want to get the CERF eye exam, we’ll need to microchip him, and I recommend that anyway for any dog that will be shown, or travel a lot, or is potentially worth a lot, and Rex meets all those criteria. And we can go ahead and get him scheduled for the CERF exam with a certified veterinary ophthalmologist.” We waited and Dr. Bowen took the required X-rays of my hips and elbows, and all the time he was doing it, he continued to be amazed that I would let him put me into the required positions and hold it long enough. He told us that he had to mail the X-rays to the OFA for their evaluation, and in a few weeks we would have their official grading of my hips and elbows, but that he had done enough of them that he thought I would score at least very good, and probably excellent. When we were finished with that, he injected an identification microchip under my hide, between my shoulder blades, and this shot hurt a little. Then we picked up six-month supplies of heartworm, and flea and tick preventive medicines for Hank, Tina, and me. The receptionist scheduled our CERF exam at a vet’s office about 60 miles away. We finally left Dr. Bowen’s clinic after having been there around two hours, and Paige and I both were relieved to get that behind us. But, I was scheduled to come back in two weeks for additional vaccinations. On the way home, Paige made a surprise detour to a store across town that sold working dog harnesses and other specialized canine equipment. There, Paige bought me a sharp looking service dog ID cape. It’s red with patches on both sides that say ‘Ask to pet me’, ‘I’m friendly’, and ‘Service Dog In Training’ on them. She also bought a short leather working lead. She said that, hopefully, that cape would be the key to me being allowed in places that dogs are normally not permitted. She also had me measured for a seeing-eye dog harness. This would be useful also, and would allow me to go places with Phil. She bought a tracking harness for me, which would be used in Schutzhund training and competition. She also had a dog tag made for me with my name plus her name, address and phone number on it, and attached it and my new rabies tag to my collar with two heavy-duty split rings. The girl running the canine equipment store showed Paige how to adjust the ID cape and the tracking harness for my maximum comfort and freedom. She knew her stuff and was very friendly. I sneaked a kiss onto her cheek when she was fitting me, and she responded by laughing and giving my ears and neck a good scratching. She told Paige several times what an awesome looking dog I was, and that she would really be interested in one of my pups, if she ever bred me. Paige told her that she would let her know, and took her name and phone number. On the way home, we decided to give my ID cape its first test, and stopped by one of our favorite restaurants for lunch. The clientele there is mostly college upper-classmen and graduate students, plus professors and a few local business people, and had a laid back atmosphere. Phil often ate there with Schultz and was always well received. She put the short working lead on me and when we got out of her car, I assumed the ‘heel’ position on her left side. We walked right in the door like we owned the place. The girl that was seating patrons knew Paige and immediately upon seeing me her face lit up. “What a beautiful dog!! I LOVE German Shepherds! What’s his name?” she chortled happily. “This is Rex,” Paige answered. “Rex, go say ‘Hi’ to Cindy.” I went to her and she petted me and scratched my neck and ears, then I sat and offered her my paw. When she bent to shake with me, I gave her a quick lick on the cheek, which she loved. There were more customers coming in behind us, so she led us into the dining area to seat us. As we walked through the area, I noticed the folks looking at me. Most of them smiled, but there were a one or two that looked at me with varying degrees of fear or disgust. Then I caught a couple of familiar smells and then spotted Phil and Schultz at a nearby table, and Paige spotted them at about the same time. They were sitting with Heather, a very smart, but cute and petite little blonde, with a terrific body and beautiful emerald green eyes, that Phil and I had a couple of classes with. We went to Phil, and Schultz whined in happiness when he saw me. After exchanging a couple of quick licks with Schultz, I rooted my head up under Phil’s forearm. “Hey there, Rex!” he said, genuinely glad for us to be there. “Why don’t you join us, and Paige too, if she’s with you.” “Yep, I’m here too,” Paige answered, and then looked towards Heather. “Hi, I’m Paige, and this is my buddy Rex,” she said, extending her hand to Heather. “Do you mind if we join you? But, we can sit somewhere else if the two of you would rather be left alone.” “No, no! Please sit down…” she said, returning Paige’s shake and pulling out a chair for Paige. “What a beautiful dog!! I’ve just GOT to pet you!!” She got out of her chair and squatted down as I walked up to her, and she petted and rubbed my head and stroked my back a couple of times. I offered her my paw and gave her a lick. “Oh, you’re a GOOD boy, and what a BIG boy, too!!” she gushed, then gave me a big hug. As she did I clearly smelled and felt her becoming aroused, and I caught a definite glimmer of lust in her eyes. Sitting back down, she continued, “We were just discussing the exciting Dr. Hoffman’s class; one that is guaranteed to cure even the most difficult case of insomnia.” “Yeah, Scott’s told me about Dr. Hoffman, ‘The Master of the Monotone Lecture,’” Paige said in a deadpan, deep monotone, then smiled. “How is Scott doing? Phil told me that he wasn’t feeling himself the last couple of days,” she asked. “Oh, he’s definitely not his normal self, but he’s feeling better,” Paige answered, with a smile and a quick glance towards me. I looked at Phil and he was sitting there with a big grin on his face. We had a good lunch, Paige ordering me a big cheeseburger, with no pickles, onions, or tomatoes, and she had a neat, collapsible fabric water bowl that the waitress filled with ice water for Schultz and I to drink. I sat between Paige and Heather most of the time, and Heather couldn’t keep her hands off of me. The petting and scratching felt good, but I continued to sense her arousal. Paige, Heather, and Phil discussed classes and other current events, and I wished that I could join in the conversation, but of course couldn’t in a public place like that. Paige told Phil that we had been to the vet, all we had done there, and about our trip to the canine equipment store. After lunch, we headed back home. On our arrival home, Tina was ecstatic to see me. Her powerful scent filled the house and I immediately started getting aroused, but I wanted to wait until Paige had left for class before we mated again. Paige applied the flea and tick preventive to Tina and me, and gave us both our heartworm preventive medicine, which happily tasted good, like a treat. We went out in the back yard for a romp and to do our business, and Tina kept flagging her tail and presenting herself to me. I mentally told Tina, multiple times, to wait, but she was insistent. But somehow I was able to resist her allure. After Paige left for her afternoon classes, we went to the bedroom. I wanted to try something different. I asked Tina to get on the bed and lay on her back, with her butt on the edge of the bed, in the same position that Paige loved so much. Tina understood me and did just what I asked. I carefully mounted her missionary style, with my front paws on the bed, on either side of her shoulders, and my back paws on the floor. Tina seemed to like it because she immediately started licking my face, and I liked that too. It was somewhat difficult finding her vagina in this position, but she cooperated amazingly well, and I felt my cock tip part her labia. I asked Tina to lay still, and she did, while I carefully hunched my hips forward, slowly pushing my cock inside her. Once in about three inches, it felt like I had hit bottom, and I was having difficulty going deeper. Then Tina hunched her hips upwards, towards my belly, and I felt the tip of my cock ‘turn the corner’ inside her, and I could get all the way into her. After a few strokes into her, going deeper each time, I felt my knot, which was just beginning to grow, pushing against her labia. I pushed a little harder, and at the same time, Tina humped her hips up into my groin and my knot popped inside of her. I began to stroke in and out as my cock and knot grew, filling her and stretching her cunt tightly. In seconds, I lost control, hunching my hips madly, driving my red-hot cock deep into her hot, tight pussy in blindingly fast strokes. Tina was fucking me back with a passion totally unexpected from a dog, much to my surprise. Her front legs gripped my chest tightly, just behind my shoulder blades, and she was humping me back, just like a woman, thrusting her cunt hard into my crotch, impaling herself deeper and deeper onto my massive cock and knot. Closing her eyes tightly, she flung her head back against the bed and I felt her entire body tense up in an overwhelming orgasm. Somehow her tail ended up between my legs, brushing back and forth across my balls as we hunched, the feeling driving me even wilder, spurring me closer to my climax. I hugged her body tighter with my front legs and gripped her neck gently in my teeth, bowing my back and driving every millimeter of my straining cock into her as deeply as possible. Intense pleasure radiated out of my cock and into every fiber of my body. I could feel the pressure building in my cock as another huge load of cum built up inside me. Tina’s cunt contracted tightly, repeatedly, around my cock and knot, milking me, and pulling my knot deeper into her, as another wave of orgasm crashed through her. My orgasm overtook me and my cock exploded cum deep into her waiting uterus. We were actually hugging each other as we climaxed together, a truly breathtaking feeling that I never would have dreamed could ever be enjoyed with a dog. As my orgasm subsided, I kissed her gently and deeply. She licked her tongue deeply into my mouth and throat. I wished that I could hold her face in my hands and lock our lips and mouths together. She licked my face and nibbled my neck and chest, transforming the afterglow of my orgasm into an experience of pure heaven. My cock continued to pump her womb full of my potent seed. We stayed tied for another 30 minutes or so, and it was a wonderful experience being able to caress, kiss, lick, and nibble each other face-to-face the whole time. Finally, my knot shrank enough that we were able to part. Her belly was bloated somewhat, her uterus being full of my cum. After licking ourselves clean and cleaning up the floor, we curled up together for a nap. |

Chapter 14
Paige got home from class around 3:30 and we were both glad to see her. A little later, she got a Frisbee and some of my gear, stuffed it in her daypack, and she and I headed to the quad on campus, much to Tina’s dismay. But she was still in heat and we didn’t want her attracting the attention of any other dogs, so she had to stay home for now. Paige rode her bicycle and I galloped alongside her on the way. This was the first time I had gotten to run for any distance as a dog, and I loved it. I had loved to run as a human and it’s even more fun as a dog. The ground flew under me as I stretched out my front legs and pulled my body forward, then kicked back with my back legs shooting me forward even more. As I went faster, I naturally laid my ears back and extended my tail straight out behind me, making me more aerodynamic. My lung capacity is much greater as a dog, and my mouth gaped open, sucking in, then exhaling, huge quantities of air, providing me more oxygen and cooling my body at the same time. My endurance is much greater now, too. As we flew along, I glanced over at Paige and made eye contact with her, then sped up, pulling ahead of her. Paige pedaled as fast as she could and tried to pass me, but I could still keep up with her, although, by the time we reached the quad, I was beginning to tire somewhat from the almost flat-out pace. The plethora of smells that entered my nostrils continued to amaze me. Even the scents that I recognized were now much deeper, full of a lot of information and nuances that I never before knew could exist. I was beginning to understand why dogs loved to explore and poke around. I really wanted to check out where many of the scents were coming from and what made them. And the scents seemed to drill themselves into my memory much stronger than before. Being outside like this, I was also still amazed how sensitive my hearing now was. As I pivoted my ears around, they were like directional antennae. I could very accurately pinpoint the source or direction of noises, and could very clearly understand conversations people were having a block away. The sounds of nature were amazing to me also. Birds, squirrels and other animals make lots of noises that humans never hear. At first, the flood of scents and sounds had been nearly overwhelming, but I was getting used to it now. Paige parked her bike in front of Parker Hall and we went inside for a drink of water. She filled my collapsible water bowl from the water cooler and then got herself a long drink. The sound of my tongue flapping and slurping as I drank echoed up and down the hall, and passing students looked at us and smiled. The sound of someone walking briskly down the hall in dress shoes attracted my attention and I saw Dr. Butz, my old calculus and differential equations professor striding towards us. He was short and stout, bald as a cue ball, always wore a sharp suit and tie, and was a campus favorite. If you had to take an advanced math course, you wanted him as your prof. “Hi Paige!” he greeted. “Who’s your good looking buddy here?” he said reaching out with no fear and ruffling the fur on top of my head and scratching my ears. I had instantly liked Dr. Butz the first time I met him. He was always happy and upbeat and really tried to make learning fun. He also had the uncanny ability to remember the name and face of every one of his students, for years. “Hey Dr. Butz! Great to see you again!” Paige answered him. “This is Rex, and he IS a good buddy. Uhh.. Sorry about having him in the building. He’s been running pretty hard and I thought he could use a drink.” Dr. Butz’s face was still all smiles. “You don’t have to apologize. He is ALWAYS welcome in here, as far as I’m concerned.” He bent down and looked at me while scratching my head some more. I licked his hand once and then offered him my paw. He took my paw and shook it. “Hi there Rex. I’m Dr. Butz, and it’s a pleasure to meet you! You’re the largest German Shepherd I’ve ever seen, and a smart looking boy, too! I bet I could teach you some calculus.” “Damn right you could, and you HAVE!” I thought, loving the scratching. He ruffled my fur again, and straightened back up. “Well, I’ve got tests to grade, so I must be going. It’s been good seeing you and Rex, and hope to see you again soon,” he said, extending his hand to Paige. She shook it and said her good-byes to him and he took off down the hall again at a rapid pace. Paige and I headed out the door and out to the Quad. After looking around to see if anyone was within earshot, I said to her “I sure like Dr. Butz. Always have.” “Me too,” she said as she dug the Frisbee out of her daypack. “Wanna try to catch this?” and then she flipped it out lightly into the wind. I took off after it and easily caught it in my mouth, and brought it back to her. When she tried to take it from me, I held on tight and growled at her. Unfazed, she tweaked my nose, saying “GIVE me that Frisbee, you silly boy!” So I released it and she immediately threw it again, farther this time. There was something almost irresistible about chasing after it. I chased it down and, again, caught it in the air. “This is really fun,” I thought. “No wonder Schultz and other dogs love this so much.” But thinking about it more, I realized that it was not only fun, it was a compulsion. I brought the Frisbee back to Paige and immediately took off in anticipation of her throwing it again. She waited until I was 75 to 80 feet away and threw it pretty hard this time, and it came whizzing about 15 feet to my left and about 7 or 8 feet off the ground. I turned quickly, digging my claws into the turf for traction, and launched myself into the air on an intercept course with the Frisbee, totally engrossed in the pursuit. Twisting in midair, somehow, I caught the thing. I was amazed. My legs felt fantastic: like they had coil springs in them. “Wow!! That was awesome!” Paige shouted in my direction. I galloped back to her proudly and gave her the Frisbee. “We’re going to do it a little different this time,” she said. I discreetly shook my head ‘yes’ in answer to her, and she responded by telling me “Sit!” which I did immediately. “Stay!” she commanded and flipped the Frisbee into the wind. When it was about twenty feet away, she said “Get it, Rex!” and I shot after it in a flash. As it slowed down and started to drift towards the ground, I closed the distance with it and jumped and caught it in the air again. This time, I gave it a good shaking before I brought it back to Paige. This was really fun. We played Frisbee for another few minutes, and then I saw Ray, a guy in one of Paige’s classes, coming across the Quad. He was a fun guy and, as a human, I liked to joke around with him. He hadn’t seen me, so the next time I caught the Frisbee, I went charging at him with the Frisbee in my mouth. When he spotted me, I was running at him full bore, with my ears up, looking like I was attacking him. His eyes got big and he stopped and I could sense that I had successfully scared him. I slammed on the brakes about fifteen feet in front of him and came to a stop just inches in front of him, looking him in the eyes, with my ears still up, and I could tell that he was in the dilemma of trying to figure out if he was going to shit or go blind or run or climb a tree or try to fight me off. Perfect… I dropped the Frisbee at his feet and instantly dropped my front end down in the classic canine play stance, with a happy-silly look on my face, and woofed at him a couple of times, then took off running back towards Paige. I saw relief, surprise, and then amusement sweep over him. I had gotten him good. He picked up the Frisbee and Paige hollered at him and he threw it back to her. I jumped and intercepted it in the air and took it back to Ray, and then wrestled and tug-of-warred with him when he tried to get it away from me. Paige came trotting up and pulled my ear and fussed at me for frightening Ray like that, and then apologized to him. Ray just laughed. “I almost pissed my pants when he came running up to me like that. He’s REALLY awesome looking! I’ve never seen a Shepherd this big,” he said, petting me on the head. “He IS a big boy, and loves to romp and play tricks. But, I ought to spank his butt for doing that to you,” Paige said, pulling my ear again. I sat there panting with a happy look on my face. She and Ray talked some more and then threw the Frisbee some more, playing ‘Keep Away’ with me. I caught most of their throws and had the opportunity to meet some more folks on the Quad. Then we packed up and headed for home, with me loping along beside Paige on her bicycle. As we crossed intersections, I realized how vulnerable I now was to traffic. Not only was I not as tall I was when I walked upright, but lots of folks don’t take the care to keep from hitting dogs that they do with humans. I kept my eyes and ears open for traffic. Paige cooked us a wonderful supper and as she was clearing the table, Phil and Schultz showed up at the door. “How are the lovebirds doing?” he said scratching Tina’s and my head after coming in. We were anxious to bring him up to date. “Well, we’ve ‘DONE’ it three times now,” I said joking, and Phil’s head snapped up, with a surprised expression on his face. “Your voice has changed! Your speech is much clearer now!” he said, with a touch of excitement in his voice. “Yes it has. And there’s a LOT more that’s happened that we need to tell you about,” I continued. Then Paige and I proceeded to tell him everything that had happened since his last visit, especially concentrating on the demon’s reappearance and what it had said. After hearing it all, Phil sat there with a sort of dumbstruck look on his face. “Wow! You really DID receive a FANTASTIC blessing… I wish I could join you… But, since I can’t join you as a dog, I really feel blessed that you’ve let me join you as a friend. I truly appreciate your confidence in me. I won’t let y’all down,” he said with complete sincerity, that I could feel as well as hear. “We now know that you will have offspring of some sort, and that they will inherit your strengths,” he said, thinking. “This makes Tina much more valuable to you, if we are interpreting the blessing correctly. And assuming that we ARE interpreting it correctly, this makes it MUCH more likely that you will become the star of a kennel that could have a huge impact on the world of European-bred German Shepherd Dogs. Rex, my friend, you have a wonderful life ahead of you!” he said, reaching out and ruffling the fur on my head. We talked some more, and Phil reiterated that we needed to get me enrolled in some Obedience classes and Schutzhund training as soon as possible. He told us that Paige will have as much to learn as I will. And that in many shows and competitions, the actions and skills of the handler have almost as much to do with the dog winning as the skill or quality of the dog itself. He also said that I would need to stay in excellent physical condition if I wanted to compete in the Sieger show. We talked about whom we may or may not have to tell the truth about me. It was agreed that we may have to tell Doc Bowen, if any unforeseen issues come up with my health. We also agreed that we will have to tell my Mom. I love her, and want her to know what has happened to me. We owe her that anyway, plus she controls the flow of money into my bank account, since I am still supposed to be a student at this point. We also agreed that it would be good if I could go ahead and finish my Master’s Degree, if it doesn’t interfere with the other important things my new life will require. And we debated whether or not we should tell a trusted professor at the University. We left that item open for discussion at a later date. We let Tina out in the backyard to do her business, then left her at home again, while Paige and I walked Phil and Schultz home. As we were walking along, Schultz and I exchanged a few thoughts. He wanted to romp and run with me, but he kept the proper walking pace for Phil, in spite of his own desires for fun. He was a terrific dog and was truly dedicated to his job. I admired him, and marveled at the depth of his intelligence and wisdom. When we got to Phil’s house, Hank was glad to see us. Phil had a very large fenced-in yard and Schultz, Hank and I romped and chased and had a big time. Schultz had some big pull toys and we had several raucous tugs-of-war, complete with lots of loud growling and heavy duty shaking and yanking. In a three-way pull, I could drag the two of them around the yard, but when they ganged up against me, and pulled together, they dragged me. But it sure was fun. On the way home, Paige jogged and I trotted along beside her. We took a circuitous route home that covered about two miles. I REALLY loved running now, much more than I had as a human, and I had thought that I loved it then too. After we got home, Paige and I were exhausted from all the exercise we’d had, plus all the activities of an exceedingly full day. Plus, her womanhood was still sore from the night before, so she just showered and we went to bed. It felt wonderful to stretch out on the bed and I was soon blissfully asleep, Paige on one side, and Tina and I on the other. I dreamed wonderful dreams that night……… This is all I have ready to post right now. Several more chapters are in process and they get REALLY interesting. It may be late July before I have them ready to go, since my writing time is very limited now. Let me know how you like it so far. Thanks to all who have replied!!!! You give me motivation to keep going!! This post has been edited by Skeezix on Jul 2 2006, 04:42 AM |

Another chapter to fuel the cravings and imagination. Keep up the excellent work as who knows wher eit could lead or who would end up with their lives on all fours next at this rate of progress. :)

This is the best story I've read period. I haven't read the original but I think I might seek it out after this amazing experience :D
Late July seems a long way off at the moment as well, don't know how I'm gonna cope without more of this to read. |
