hi everyone! well ,i have a tough question for you, concerning zoophilistic way of life...
if you would be told that tommorow there would be a zoophiles march on the streets, you would participate? would you go there and stand up for zoos rights and way of live? would you do that even if you know that you would be seen there by your friends ,familly ,or someone you know? would you stand up against society's prejudices? |

As it is i would not. Mostly for my kids' sake. If my family already knew of my interests, then certainly I would be there. I don't give a fig what strangers think of me...

No - even if I was prepared to have everyone know about this side of my life, I'd want to tell my family myself rather than have them spot me in a news bulletin.

I believe this is a duplicate thread - but worded a little differently - so I won't lock it - just shuffle it off to the zoo section...

This is a retorical question.
And as such, i don't think it should be aswered with yes or no. Beeing into a zoo-lifestyle (actively or not) does actually not reflect the moral of the majority. So we are definately a minority and we have no lobby. Personally i'm very active in the bdsm lifestyle. As a new law had been implied the bdsm-community had been put on the same level like pedophiles. So we did some lobbying, trying to explain that there is a big difference, when consenting adults are into a bdsm lifestyle. We did not find a single politian assisting us in our fight against this. And you must know, there are 2 politians in joining us on our regular social meetings. In this context i would rather say no to your question! |

Zoophilia isn't a movement and it's way too flakey to be called one. There are too many independent cases. For example, homosexuality is a movement and it focuses one one thing, while zoophilia covers a very large spectrum (dogs, horses, etc. with an unbias towards gender) and there are a lot of zoophiles out there that I don't support because of their outlook on the matter.
I do think it's funny that it's ok to kill animals for recreation (game hunting) but it's not ok to have a loving relationship with an animal that involves sex because of.."the animal's rights." |

this is a tough one- on one hand - so long as the animals are consenting and having fun, i really see know reason why it is illegal- no one is being harmed. i strongly believe that but until its legal - which is more than likely never, would ont go on a march. my career, my family and my friends would all be at risk. People have very small minds on many matters such as political, religious and sexual. i kno i cannot go into it anymore as it is against forum rules but until people change, there are [SPAM] in society who will be wrong or isolated.
Im a politics student hehe xx |

you're absolutely right kyoukan.
it's that same old DOUBLE-STANDARD america has for just about everything. along those lines, i do not necessarily agree with ALL of PETA's philosophies and especially their tactics (example: barging in on beyonce knowles private dinner and they start badgering her with questions about why she wears fur). while i do not agree that dozens of tiny exotic animals should be killed for their pelts, if beyonce wants to wear fur, it's her business and no one else's. a lot of the time, PETA protects animal rights (do animals know what animal rights are???) at the expense of human rights....but don't get me started on PETA!!! on the question of participating or attending a zoo march, i would probably not go. i know what i am and i don't feel this need to make a huge statement about it. |

I believe that it may be possible for zoophilia to be accepted someday far into the future but I think unfortunately, getting there may be so difficult that it may not even be worth trying. Things would get far worse for us as zoophiles than they are now before things would get better. Putting zoophilia in the spotlight has already caused more laws against it to be passed and more attempts to outlaw it. It may take acts of hatred and brutality against us for society to sympothize with us.
For as mainstream as homosexuality has become, consider that the majority still has not accepted it. Look at how overwhelmingly people have voted against gay marriage. I read an excellent point somewhere, I think on this Forum. If zoophilia becomes more well known or mainstream, animal ownership may decline. Non-zoos may be less inclined to have a pet or show affection to one for fear that they may be thought of as a zoophile. Or parents may not want to allow their children to have animals for fear that they may become zoophiles. I can live with the way things are now. I just hope that we'll always be able to keep in touch with eachother like we do on this Forum and of course have loving relationships with our animals as we have. |

Yeah, I agree Shadowfax.
I believe it's important to homosexuals to be recognized legally because they want to the right to marry and have all the benefits and responsibilities of a heterosexual marriage (which is perfectly understandable). But it would not be very logical to want to marry your animal and have that recognized legally... So my point is, things are pretty good the way they are. Those ignorant of zoophilia can live happy lives and those that are into it can co-exist without fear of repercussions for their feelings (since they are kept private..sorta). I dunno..it's 3:30am and I've been up since 7am the previous day working..bleh. Hope everyone's doing ok. Laters  ps. It's kinda funny how people will cause such a stir over homosexuals or zoophiles or pagans (just any belief-based minority) when there are so many larger issues on hand...like the price of oil..and the apocalypse... Well, it would have to be in a state where it isn't illegal. Hehe. If it wasn't illegal, sure, I'd march in a parade. But since it is, I don't think it's a wise idea. We'd all get arrested. ;)
As far as being mad at the way it is and how people treat us. Whatever. "Don't give what's holy to the dogs, don't throw pearls at swine, you will be rended and troughted upon." When was Jesus wrong? ;) ~Marecumare |

thanks for your welcome southflorida!well i just want to say that i wasn't intended to copy somebody(if so,i am sorry! :( ),this was just a question that was buzzing in my head and i wanted to know what other people think about it...frankly,i think i'll submit to the majority's opinion...i don't think i am brave enough to go to a zoo march either, even though i have no family of my own,and my frieds ,well, they are few of them...i supose that this is a much harder step for someone that is well involved into the social life....

I would go. I am done with the days of making myself comfortable for friends that are none.
If not, for a march, I might be going for "something like" within the next 4 months, just if, what and when I do not know yet. An opportunity must be made to fit... |
