Hi folks-

Just wondering who here has managed to meet with anybody else from the board in the outside world? If so, howd it go? What'd ya do? Would you do it again?

Yes I've met one other person. We had coffee and talked. I think it went ok. :)

Would'nt mind meeting up with others,in my area,for coffeee and get to meet them,altho I understand the reluctance of doing so for many. :blush:

Well at least we have this site and can talk with each other :whistling:

yes ive met several from here,met one lady and she said we didnt click,i thought we were into the same stuff ,o well her loss :whistling:

I've met one person. We sat and talked for hours, and intended to meet again. However, my work schedule hosed that up, and I've noticed since that they've apparently moved on.

Another member and I were sending emails back and forth trying to arrange a day to meet. But again, my work schedule simply didn't mesh, and we've also lost touch.

Such is the life of shift work at times. :(

I've met several people from the site, and in most cases, my meetings went very well.

In fact, one of my very best friends is someone I met here.

I have to agree.. I have met SEVERAL members of this site.. some went great others .. well as with regular life .. you just dont click with them...

this one person.. they came to see me about 2 years ago.. we were both extremely nervous! and the whole week she was here we laughed and laughed and laughed.. I wish all the time we could be closer!!!! :inlove:

I have met a few, and it went very well. It was members I had been emailing and talking to on IM for a long time. We knew we "clicked" before we met ;)

I've met one member from here twice. Once was for a coffee and chat, the second time was a stroll around the Zoo.

Both occasions were supposed to be "major meet and greets" but we were the only ones to show up :rolleyes: . I enjoyed both and will keep trying to meet others :)

haven't hooked up with anyone on this board so far. To be honest I've rarely had the nerve to hook up with any online zoos. The security issue is just soooo big. Too often you read about how some zoo goes completely ape shit for no reason then intentionally tries to out and ruin the lives of any zoophile he knows. I don't need my life ruined because of some one time meeting.

No sadly. Which sucks. sometimes I feel like since I have no friends to share this with that its bad or dirty whatever. Makes me feel bit isolated or lonely ~_~. But I think there are just few people around me with same interests or something O_o.

I've met only two people from this board. . . :)
The first one was a lady. . .we met at a bar with her friends. . . it went alright, but other things were happening. She wasn't interested in me as a partner, but we still talk almost everyday online. . .I actually didn't even meet her from this board now that I think of it. Hehe. We'll meet again one day. . .pretty sure about it.
Then the other person I met was from this board. . .and we met for breakfast on memorial day. It was really cool. I look forward to meeting up again! :D
Now the other 12 or so zoo's that I've met in the past 4 years I met through yahoo [SPAM], and then I met their friends that they'd been talking to for a while. The first zoo I met helped me find my adorable husky! We had been chating for about 2 years before we ever met. Then I went on a big road trip and met a lot more! It was fun, but sometimes peoples real lives get in the way. Even though we all share common interests. Over all, I've had some great experiences and some very good laughs, and some great conversations. :)
Now the people I've met from the board, I only talked with them for about a month or more. . .by then I phoned them and web cam with them from time to time. It really helps clear the air that way. . .if you know what I mean. :) I look forward to meeting with more zoo's in the future. I even hope to meet with one when I goto Canada in a few weeks!
