Beneath the vale there did lie
Loathing, malice & disseat
When had the canker setup, this bond we shared
The shadow and the lies allowed to remained
Not burned away like that mornings summer due
Was it I that sowed the seed
From which your hatred branched
Were my thoughts and actions not as silken white
As that fair dress upon your slender frame
No
It was your filth and lies
Yours was the taint that turned the eyes of all
From loving friends to loathing fiends they turned
Upon your stench they grew
You slew the man who stood that day
To take you and to hold
For ever and ever
Until death would we part
That was then for he has gone and I have risen
To fill the void, to make me whole again

This has a lovely flow to it skin2. I think this particular poem is perhpas the most compelling of this little collection. There is an emotional depth to it that is readily identifiable for myself and I suspect many other readers.
