In my first poll determining what people consider to be 'sex' the observation was made that it seemed some folks held that oral sex was quite personal and sexual.

In this poll I ask this question to discover which gender and orientation sees oral sex as more or less the same level of intimacy as penetrative sex and which see them as two different levels of personal interaction, one significantly more personal than the other.

Yes, I couldnt ask every single variation of 'type' in the poll; I left out women who penetrate, as I didnt have space and I make the leap that that would not be the most personal of the choices offered. (Now, world, prove me wrong!)

To me Oral is not very personal comparativly. But vaginal and anal penatration are very personal. Now I lost my virginity (18) analy. It was the ultimate personal act, it was the most intimate way I could express myself. (ie. - my love and trust for my then lover) My hymen virginity I never put much stock into....that is just a physical expression of non-use. My mind was not a virgin, but my body was.

However, as the years have passed I have found that vaginal and anal sex are equally personal. Perhaps I have become more conservative. Perhaps more jaded. Perhaps my Lovers more skilled.

I am a very dominate woman, and to be under my Husband is one of the ways I show my love. By being comfortable enough to be in missionary or "doggy" I am saying to my Husband: "I love you, and I trust you not to hurt me while I am in this submissive position."

I am a man, and i stated that having anal sex is more personal because the cock is inside you, it is feeling you. I think anal sex has more compassion involved and most times it is more sensual. Sucking a cock, in my opinion is so highschool but anal sex is something more special. I have only allowed one guy to have anal with me and that is rob. Rob did not f*** me until 5 weeks into our relationship - because i knew he was the one. For me personally, as a man, I'd have to say to be penetrated anally. It's a much more personal expression of giving and trust in your partner. At least for me, as far as human/human interactions, although I'm very rarely active with male humans.

Hmm, I wonder how this poll would pan out in the general population of all sexually active adults versus just asking us zoophile interested? My thinking is of those people who are generally sexually active sorta common vaginal/penile sex is the most common. But I found a number of people, zoophiles included, who while they don't mind taking an animal penis inside their vagina or rectum, will none the less refuse to suck the penis of a male dog. I often wonder how much of that resistence to oral sex has to do with a "way too personal" factor or some nebulous "digusting" feeling. I suppose the same can be extended to human/human sexual relations as well.

Still, that's largely a matter of what is happening at the time. I voted other, because I'm sure depending on who is doing what any of these places could be very personal, but on second thought for me it's most comforting to either give or get oral from a male or female, and since for the most part I'm sexual with horses, it's also the most thrilling, because it's dangerous. Therefore, for me I believe oral sex is most personal in the following order, with the addition I've found from some horses with the right conformation somehow I orgasm while riding long, rythymic, smooth, extended trots. That must be purely physical, but it's so hard to aquire that exact gait (and believe me, I try a lot), it feels the most gratifying, and is almost as rewarding as getting a stallion to ejaculate in my mouth (which is also quite a feat). It's so hard to explain it's hardly worth mentioning, I know, but it is another thing I very rarely hear of that can be placed in this list. Beyond that, vaginal intercourse is personal, and can be loving with woman or mares, and anything anal hardly seems sexual to me except that a penis is often involved. Well, that's my two cents worth.

Incidentally, Energydog, I think you might be right also. I'm personally much more keen on sucking on a dog than a person, and with anal sex not feeling sexual, I don't do that, because of a gross out factor. So you might have an activity that's too personal, not sexual enough. As goes the phrase "All s*** and not sugar", pardon the pun. Probably in reverse for the greater population. We might be more willing to overcome some feeling of intrusion (I believe this is the case) for the promise of sexual gratification.

Except anal but that wasn't an option. I have no interest in anal sex so it doesn't apply to me. I'm also a lesbian though so the pentration would be in terms of fingers or a strap on (or other dildo)... Yeah. lol. The point I am trying to make is that I have to trust someone a lot for me to go down on them orally, and even more for them to go down on me, so that's personal in that sense. However, I find that with penetration (mostly with strap ons and regular dildos, but fingers work), you're free to explore more of the other's body, and see their face, and communicate care in another way... that sort of thing. When performing oral you're limited to JUST the sexual act mostly (although it can be out of love).

I think it makes sense to me what you're saying. That's why I say oral is most personal, and in what order. I think you need a lot of trust sometimes, but a closeness as well. I can see and understand needing that bond to even be touched at all by another animal. I believe trust is the important ingredient.
