Thats a good point really. Zoo's come from every walk of life there is. There must be police officers, lawyers, vets, vicars and many others who are zoo's, though obviously have to be very very careful who they tell, if they tell anyone at all. |

Did the meet at the David Lawrence Center in Pittsburgh ever happen? And what were the results? Was it interesting enough to schedule another meet? B)

While it would be neat to be able to meet at some place like a campground - safety just dosen't allow it.
As for cops into this - why not, any more than any of the rest of us, just that they are quite likely to bust us to cover their own lifestyle. Several years ago there was actually a popular member around these boards that openly stated he was a correctional officer. I don't remember his name but the case is made. The other thing that spooks me about arranging a personal meet is these CP sting shows where the perps think they are going for a meet and walk right into the arms of the law - that possibility rather scares the poo out of me! |

Hi,
I just wanted to post here also, informing everyone of the meet and greet I am planning. "Hi everyone, I'm from Bakersfield California and am considering hosting a meet and greet. I'm really new to the zoo community but am very interested in becoming more active. Since I am so new I would like to make many new friends before the meet and greet, so I am considering making plans for the summer of 2010. This will also give plenty of time for people to discuss suggestions on preferred locations, times, dates, etc. It will also give time for us to get to know each other online before we actually meet. I hope there will be plenty of people interested, and if there's anyone experienced with hosting meet and greets I would love feedback. Co-hosts are also something I am considering, so if you are interested in helping organize the event let me know. There is a great post by Equus69 about meet and greet advice. Great article! I suggest anyone interested in hosting and/or attending a meet and greet should read that article: beastforum dot com /showtopic-74606.html For more info about me check out my profile." I hope this 're-post' isn't against the rules but I found this topic after posting in my own new topic in the personals section. |
