at first I was going to apologize that your thread was interrupted with non-sense -and ask if you would like the posts deleted out - but on second thought this is EXACTLY why I requested this thread -and although it didn't help an unreasonable man see the light -certainly his selfishness can serve to educate others on the subject...

Thanks for the info Allan.

A very strong case for considering the limits of these types of pets.

I'll throw in a small bit for pooh64,

IF you wash your hands very well right befor toutching them with natural pond water (and you do have to scrub very therough with it) to clean off the natural salts and acids you can hold them, but like I said you HAVE to wash them in natural pond water and keep them wet at all times (Your hands and the frog!)

I love catching frogs too :) and I learnt that by keeping my hands well washed with rain water n so on it was more comfertable when I caught them for the frog.

and I'm glad you aprove of the over thread formate, thanks :)

and Yes Eel *not* lover was very dens, and serves as the perfect example of what NOT to be like!.

That kind of sexual behavior is a pathology and needs psychological treatment, whatever the forum you're posting in. There are multiple sexual activities to choose; choosing a sexual activity that hurts without consent is against the freedom of the creature involved.

Great thread Allen.
I agree totally- its stupid, ignorant people like eellover who give us a bad name. Its 10 marks from me for banning him.
Its paramount in my opinion that no animal should come to harm or be used simply as a sextoy, but some "people" just have no clue.

BeastForum is doing a fantastic job.
Rock on everybody! ^_^

this is a wonderfull topic so much has been said and accomplished. i had no clue i was hurting them ether. but then i never touched the ones we had lol they where poisnious! but i truely hope that eventualy people like eel lover will become extinct. its mean to say it but its worse to condone the use of animals for plesure and tourture them. its mean unethical and downright cruel. thankyou for banning him. ;) we all owe you admins a lot for helping us keep these sick peverted creatures out of our forums and keep our animals loved and cared for. ^_^

fiew people do, when I was yung my dad gave me a biology book all about frogs, becuase I'd catch them all the time, after reading it I was suprised and actualy understood why they faught so hard when I grabed them.

But after wards I'd wash my hands in the pond water making shure they where plenty wet and what ya know, they'd just sit there on my hand without a worry!

Safe to handle them, just have to make shure your skin is totaly free of salt by washing them in natural non tape water so they are both wet and very well rinsed..

Thank you all for the kind words and please feel free to add your knowladge.

THANKYOU Allan for such a great thread. Until just now, I had no idea of it's existence.

I'm supposed to be in my workshop...working, but dammit, I just had to finish reading your thread, and all the replies.

I will not add further comment about 'eel lover' (lover???)...it's all been said.

I've ALWAYS had an abhorrance of the practice of using birds for sexual gratification...I didn't know the extent to which it caused harm to the poor creatures, but I did instinctively know that it couldn't possible be justified as it invariably ended in the death of the bird. I felt (and still do) that people who do this are 'sicko's' of the worst kind!

I'm another who didn't realise the harm one does to a frog simply by touching it.
I now cringe remembering the many times I handled them as a kid. Of course as I love all creatures, I handled them gently, but had no way of knowing then that I was still doing them harm...OMG!

I see them now in a completely different light and will not forget the information you've passed on to us in this regard.

I personally can only justify sexual activity with an animal when that animal displays an obvious willingness to participate, and in many cases, a dog...male or female, will even actively seek it with a human partner!

I know nothing about horses, have never had contact with them other than giving one an affectionate pat from time to time, so I cannot comment on whether or not they are receptive. But at worst, they just appear not to be particularly interested in human partners (How many times have we seen clips of women having sex with a horse while it simply goes on grazing, or just stang there with a disinterested 'ho hum - get it over with' attitude - LOL)...Of Mares, I know even less.

If there is risk of any physical harm being done here, i would imagine it would be the other way around...in which case the human partner would only have themself to blame.

I could ramble on forever with my views on this, but will leave it here.
I just cannot agree more with the views expressed by all here who genuinely love their animals and treat them with the respect and love they deserve.

Guys, this thread is probably the most interesting and thought evoking one that I have read. My thanks to all participants....especially Allan.

Also, to the morals and ethics of this Forum that will not allow a person's sexual pleasure to overide an animal's well being and safety.
