QUOTE (Miss Rabbit @ Jul 23 2007, 09:50 PM)
"I can't afford it."

"How would you like it if your balls were chopped off?"

"I don't believe in it."

"I plan to....." Better used for people you don't know and won't see again.

"My last dog died on the table." Even if you didn't have a dog before.

"I don't think it matters. He's more of a house dog."

"I don't know........." Most will leave it at that.

"Because I like looking at his balls." As a joke.

"He's going to be bred later." For a full breed dog.

"I want more dogs later." Whether true or not.

You can also add:

"What would he lick every night before going to bed then?"

:D :D :D

There seems to be some evidence that neutering can cause health/cancer problems later in life. At least one vet here in town is not pushing for the usual neutering route, going against the politically correct view.

Getting the dog neutered, as much as it pains me to think about it, is definitely the responsible thing to do. If he gets loose he can't knock up any females, thus reducing the number of strays and many less crossbred mutts. From a zoo stand point, I don't think he'd be able to cum as much as if he went unfixed. Plus, that's one less thing to suck on :P

So if we're obliged to keep our pets from reproducing for whatever reasons, how come there's no obligation to do the same with some humans? :whistling:

Welllllllllll
Good note South
2 posts raised my hackles big time.

1. Who the heck and why care if 10 people want to neuter your dog.
He is Your Dog
You keep him safe and well trained so why is it the least of anyones business if your pup has balls or not.

2. If my dog gets loose he will not leave my property as that is his terratory and it is an axcident.
I own 2 studs a par of intact dogs and in 30+ years have only temporally hade one stud go back to his barn himself I fell off.
As long as I can defend my animals my advise is leave your morals and thoughts to your self,

On FOX news O'Reily
A man [does not live in NY] who took his mastif to his job sites parked his truck to get fuel and a drink. He put his dog in the bed of the truck on a tie chain for a minuit.
Some a@#h&^% cut the chain and tried to steel the dog. Police were called the shurch was on. The dog was found loose the kind animal controle people who we know love and care for animals in NY darted the dog 5 that is FIVE times.
Locked the dog up. The man came to clame the dog they being the kind carring people they are would not return the dog till his balls were cut off.
Reason he got loose. [He got bolt cutters to cut his chain][see police report]
In 2 thats TWO weeks in the nice carring shelter [the first time the dog and owner were seperated] He nearly died from resportary destress sevear kenell cough.
The man had to go to court to get his pet back. The judge ruled in the owners favor saying there is no justifcation to warrent the forced castration..

The kind carring state shelter because it is a state run carring organisation found a loophole in the fact that the state is some what above the law and forced the dog back to court.
He is now out on $10,000 dollars bond in his owners custody till fall when he is back in court.

This could happen to any of us people.
You rely think the shelter people are our friends??
They have an agenda like so many other groops have.
They have shuch an ego they can force there thinking on any person any time.

You do not care enough about your pet to spend the time to keep it safe
Neuter it.
I spend that time every day
You want to insult me tell me to castrate my boys..

We will here in the fall if this mastif gets butchered because some carring shelter thinks they are better than his carring owner..

This man may be on of us.

Rus

Ps
Look if we take responcibality for our companions and our actions there would be no need for groops to force there responcibilitys on us.

QUOTE (jdoe4k9 @ Dec 13 2005, 03:38 PM)
I'm getting a male puppy soon and am expecting an onslought of questions from people wondering if and when I am going to neuter him. I don't want to neuter him and I don't plan to. But are there are any good, compelling reasons not to neuter your pet? The people at the animal shelters have a long list of reasons TO neuter him, I just want one or two reasons NOT TO...

Thanks in advance for your help guys, and sorry if this post isn't in the right place.

first, don't get your animal from a shelter because there is no chance in hell they would be willing to turn him loose "unaltered".

second, if or when people start asking why you haven't neutered him, you just tell them it's none of their fucking business, and if they want to go out and get a dog and cut his nuts off, they are free to do so.

cliff.....

ok so i only read a few replies))

but saw alot of good reason not to spay or nuter a dog

and as long as YOU are responceable to keep them from
mating w/o piror plannig its your choice

heres my best reason, after its my choice, i dont let if happen by accident
i want to show etc

its

i WILL NEVER cut any animal before its a fully grown adult
and my reason has to do wiht their health

i use to raise/breed dalmatians

which ar eprone to forming stones/cystals in their urine, if fed a improper diet
or even from gentics

so i want their plumbing to be FULL sized to if they do form them their easier to the aniomal to pass

its a choice would you rather pass a frozen pea thur a stir straw 1/16 in opening or less
or pass it thur a milkshake sized straw 1/4 tp 3/8 ins????

plus in old age cut fem do have a higher chance of leaking bladder

so add this to the rest of the list of good reasons not to cut a fur friend

So what's the big deal? it's a no brainer. Get him a vasectomy, it's the perfect solution, no unwanted puppies and he gets to keep his jewels.
I wish I had known they did that before I had my male neutered.

Well for the vast majority of dog owners, there's no reason what ever, not to have a male dog neutered. I also don't know how or why other people would even know if your dog was neutered or not.

So a perfect stranger walks up to you and says you have a nice gelding.
My boys were boarded for a wile for barn rebuilding..
I thank them but thinking it was a complement mention he is a stud.

There answer is he should be gelded. The horse just nudged them with his noze.
They start a tiraid on I should not own a stallion only big stables should own stallions.
I list some of his championships and they tell me he is not shown now cut him.

You tell me
why this person has the right to say anything about my horse
Why they think god made them special to descide
And why it is there business.

Because a neighbor tells me to neuter my dog I should run out and do it.
Since when does the neighbor have any control of my MY animal in the first place.

The fact my dog may get loose does not make my dog abandoned.
Hello he is my property.

My horse is valued at over a sports car. He is my property I insure him and care for him. Who the heck elivated my neighbor to the point my horse has to be responcible to him..

People spend far to much time telling other people how to run there lives.
This realy ticks me off
Many years ago I had to sell a wonderfull stud because the only stable where he would have the safe proper stall / fencing and [the horses that were there he would get aloung with] I could not get a boarding permit from the town.
Reason the holyer than though descided to not permit stallions except on there owners property..

Wake up people
This is not because I am ticked [i am but]
The California bill should be a wake up call BIG TIME.
You can put your head in the sand but your balls are up and your neighbor will have them cut off.

Animals have axcidents they are animals.
They have balls and penises and take leaks on the ground. This offends people because they do not want to see it.
Simple DO NOT LOOK.

Some day you may win.
To register my dog I payed tripple because he had his nuts.
To carry my gun I pay over $200 a year in permit fees /record checks.
Both are designed to make my life misurable [not to mention my dog] [who lives in the woods miles from town]
The gun permits would evaporate instantly if they thought there was a problem. Every police data base would have my name in red print. A quick look at a computer screen instantly will tell if I am noughty or nice..
The $200 / month weight has nothing to do with public safty everything to do with people whos ego makes messing with other people there first priority.

You want to stop the surplus pet population stop it where it counts spay /neuter the pet owners.

People need to rethink how they treat others. My neighbor is no better than me. He has no right on my property unless asked. He has less right in my care for my animals as long as they are cared for and are comfortable.

There is so much good people can do for strays etc. Leave responcible people to choose for them selves.

I've seen a few comments and also the arguement in other places that if the dog got out it would be able to breed.

If you are getting a dog, I would assume that you would be responsible enough to keep him or her from getting out, so I believe that arguement to be null in most cases and shouldn't even apply unless the person is talking about letting their dog walk around the place.

I see no reason not to as long as you are fufilling your duty as a pet owner in ensuring the dogs welfare and also making sure that he will not be able to get out.

QUOTE (Ravana @ Jul 25 2007, 12:35 AM)
Pets are supposed to be your best friends.

Would you cut off your best friend's balls?

Well, considering my best friend and I play jokes on each other all the time, I still owe him one!! At my bachelor party many years ago, him a a few friends got me drunk and we went to Las Vegas where they took all my money and dropped me off just outside of Vegas so I didn't know where I was!! I was just a tad bit late to the wedding! (Only after Roxanne wired money to me and I had trouble receiving it without ID!!)

Over the years, we played many jokes on each other, but I never found one to equal the Vegas drop off. Getting him drunk and having him neutered (by a vet of course) would just about make us even!!

As for having my animal best friend neutered... NEVER! He didn't do anything to me.
