this has been very cathartic... thank you again Wyld, for starting this, and thanks to all who have shared.
I finally got around to converting and censoring a pic of my boys... That's Loki in the front and Thor in the back. And yes, that's me on the bottom :-) This post has been edited by TattooedMe on Oct 26 2005, 06:02 PM Attached Image ( Click on thumbnail to view full size image ) ![]() |

What a great idea to share the real love that we (most anyway) Zoophiles have for our mates. I rescued Retta from an Aussie Shepherd breeder in 2001. She was a "puppy machine" for her first 9 years. I had been in love with bitches before but had no idea how strong love could be until she came along. I never knew a more loyal and loving girl in my life. I felt we communicated with our minds. I've always wanted to be a wolf and feel I'm trapped in this human shell against my will, but with her I was free to be who I was. We only had each other for a little over a year. I know some of you may wonder how we could be so attached in that short a time. All I can say is that in short order I could no longer tell where I stopped and she began. We are and always will be soulmates. I lost her to a disease called Autoimmune Hemolytic Anemia. That is where her own immune system was attacking her red blood cells. I and the best internal medicine doctors tried for months to save her........ When I think about the people who would call my love for her a "sexual deviance" I want to shake them and ask them if they can honestly say they would go thousands in debt and beg what god there is to spare their spouse and take them instead  Here she is on one of our many road trips together.

Opps! I forgot to say to those of you who expand the thumbnial of her. Your eyes aren't playing tricks.....her hot pink collar does have a tag that saysSEXY BITCH. She wore it with pride and when someone noticed it and asked me about it I just as pruodly replied "well, she is, isn't she?"

You are welcome, Leatherngt. It sounds like your Max was a wonderful companion too.
The worst thing, for me, about being a canine at heart is that there is so much difference in life terms for our two species. I would gladly live a shorter life so as not to outlive all my friends and lovers. Its really a shame in your case though. Max died to protect you and yours and there is no greater sacrifice. Many humans would not selflessly do what he did, I'm sure. I know from my soul that I would've given my life for Retta at any time. She was very protective and would have done a similar thing as your Max, given the situation. P.S. I'm brand new here (just got on-line again after 3 years) and I hope I can live up to the wonderful community I've seen so far here. There are obviously some here who are really just Beastialists, but I can respect them as long as they don't force or hurt their partners. As for myself, I certianly enjoy the sexual part, but the love and respect come first. P.P.S. I know Howloween was yesterday but I thought I'd throw one in of dressed as a ladybug for the holiday a few years back  Attached Image ( Click on thumbnail to view full size image ) ![]() |

Rainbow Bridge is a beautiful tribute to all of our lost loves. I am going to include the url to the online version of this at the end of this post.
I recently lost my dog, not the Dane that I have taken my nickname from, but another beautiful giant breed. He was one of the sweetest dogs I have ever loved and miss him terribly. But you know what? I think that animals are given to us as a gift that we can take care of, nurture, love and then give back. We, the human animal, are give another tremendous gift and that is the ability to find room in our hearts for more than one animal. We suffer a great loss each time one of our mates, pets or lovers moves on, but then, another one might come into our lives. Look at all the people that rescued the Hurricane Katrina animals and now they have found new homes or might be reunited with thier humans. Anyway, always know that your animal is watching over you, no matter where you are from, and if you believe in Heavan, know that they are there waiting for you to come and play. Here is the link that I promised. It's the same "Rainbow Bridge", just in a beautiful animation. http://indigo.org/rainbow/ DT This post has been edited by danethruster on Nov 5 2005, 10:19 PM |

This was a wonderful idea Wylde!
As some of You already know, I lost my Rott, Lex recently. He was my all! Friends would listen to me talk to him, and even they would say "it's like he fully understands what you're saying" He did!! We Loved on a different level than any other Pet I've had :) I like to think it was HIM, that made the Bond and Love we shared so much better and deeper! It may just be that I'm older and wiser  More likely a combination of both :D Lex 2000-2005 I must also mention the loss of Digger! He was the first of two K-9 Lover where my heart was involved before anything sexual began. He was so much like Lex, and for a reason. ;) Digger was Lex' Papa. :) He was eight when I found out he had cancer. His heath deteriorated so quickly, he was in pain...It was terrible :( Digger 1994-2001 Happy to say the third generation is Rufus. Not quite 2 yrs.old Thanks again for making this post :D SueZ |

Thank you wyldfyre for starting this. The rainbow bridge poem has always been one that gets to me. And Danethruster thank you for posting that link. I get teary eyed when I read the poem, that animated version had me outright crying. Thanks, I needed that. It's been three years since I lost that piece of my soul that lived in a furry golden body but it still hurts. This, all of this, the thread, the poem and your link really helps.
Thanks to you all. -_- |

My beautiful girl Kassie passed away 4 days ago, I would like to post this in commemoration of her, she was such a loyal dog, always there when i got home waiting, beckoning for my arrival. As i walked in the door she would stand up, tail wagging, smile on her face as happy to see me as i was her, maybe more, i could sit down with her for hours and just talk to her, hold her, kiss her and that is what i will miss the most....the intimacy, because i loved her and i believe she loved me.
Please feel free to pay your respects to a wonderful dog. You will be missed with utmost grievance my darling, I will never forget you, Goodbye  P.S. Thank you Wyld for creating this wonderful topic, it feels good to know that my love will not only live on in my memories but on beastforum forever. And my commiserations to those who have lost their lovers in past years maybe days like i have, i hope you have good lives and recieve the love i believe you all deserve. Once again, thank you Wyld. sorry to hear about your loss doglover4601, i know how it is when your young and a pet dies, its hard to work out whats happening as you would have been too young to fully comprehend death. I have also seen this from an adults point of view, seeing a child try to cope, its hard to explain things like those to a child.
