Hi

Ive tried to find some info on the pleasures of bestiality/zoophilia but the two books in the library have been stolen! One of the books Ive really been wanting to read is Dearest Pet by Midas Dekkers. Peter Singer a philosopher did a review on this book & he was basically saying that if both parties are happy & there is no cruelty involved, what’s the problem?

I agree, whats the big deal. Why cant I find some decent info anywhere about the :D pleasures of zoophilia :D rather than making it a moral/religious/medical/pathology etc etc?

We all find our pleasures in different places so pleasure in itself is virtuous. :P

Why can't it be normal?
Those same people complicate human/human relationships as well. They see nothing between two consenting lovers as normal and caring, but must label it using their own twisted theories as a guideline.
Let us all be free in our relationships no matter who are partners are.

I own that book (Dearest Pet) and I can say a few things about it, summarized in a few points:

1. beastiality (I refuse to "church it up" by calling it Zoophilia) has been around since the dawn of time.
2. surprising numbers of people, from all socioeconomic classes, have been zoophiles (ok, I caved, because I don't know what the correct "beasti-" word would be)
3. juicy bits of written animal porn.

There isn't any endorsement of beastiality in the book, but then again, there's no open condemnation either -- in our society, that's about as close as beastiality is going to get to a ringing endorsement.

No serious author could come out and endorse beastiality and hope to ever be published again. Sorry.

Hi!
I own the book and can tell you it is a good book, as previoulsy noted, it doesn't say Zoo is cool (which we know allready :P ) but it describes it from a historical point of view, and makes no judgement of today's situation.

It has lots of info, you should try looking for it on the net, it is definitely a worthwile adition to any zoo's library, most of what helped me trough my first year as a zoo came from this book.

On the other hand, it is sad that people hides/destroys books for their own limited moral point of view, happened twice on history and both times it lead to suffering, I had to buy my copy because the library of the university where I studied for a while, had no recent information on the subject, (and they gave a degree in psychology), the most recent info was the Kinsey report, and some books that seemed to be a recopilation of tabloids, not of much assistance!
