It is risky business revealing this kind of information, but I do. I have told all of my friends and siblings and they all think it's weird but they do mostly accept it. I think as time goes on they get more used to my relationship. I have not told my parents but I think they have a slight idea of what goes on seeing as how I so openly display my love and attraction to my dog. I figured it would be easier to come open about myself rather than have somebody walk in and get the shock of their life(which has happened once before - SCARY!!)

Besides my one friend catching me years ago when I was first experimenting, I started by talking to one of my friends about how much I cared for my dog. I tried explaining that I loved her more than he could ever know. He seemed cool at this point. I then struck up a conversation with him about zoophilia and, after some explaining, he seemed still cool about things. I do not know at what point he got all weird about it, but he did. He started flippin' a nut and distanced himself greatly from me (even though we lived together) - We eventually were cool again, but to this day we haven't been nearly as close. I got depressed over him for a while, but I've move on. He was the only person I've known to ever reject my lifestyle.

I try to be really open and keep no secrets from the people that I care about. If they cannot accept me for who I am then I don't need friends like that.

Everyone knows I'm a furry.
But I've only told friends that I like real animals.

most are ok with it, a few are still good friends but they wont leave me in the same room with their pets anymore. Havn't found any to also be zoos yet.

i'm hoping that eventually the zoo community will be able to be as accepted as the gay community, but for the time being, i'm staying more/less in the closet.

No, these are feelings I keep to myself. As stated by many poster before me, revealing something of this nature is risky. The world can be cruel, and generrally have predjudices against that which they do not understand.

wow, i never knew there were so many zoos... though i suspected after several secret polls in the past suggest 2% of the uk population have fantasized/indulged or are active zoo's.

well ive never told anyone, accept a zoo girlfriend , but that was ageas ago..

my thing though is zoo scat.. so im definately not telling anyone! lol.

I told my husband shortly after we split up that I had been coming on here and posting pics etc, he seemed fine with it, even going as far as asking if we would have had some doggy fun together had we still been a couple. I still dont know if he really believes it but it was a great relief to actually tell someone for the first time in my life. Just a pity our relationship didnt work out, would have been great to have someone else involved too.
Hopefully one day I will meet another zoo but in the meantime I am very happy living with my new dog.

I've never told anyone... Anyone who was sober anyways. Told someone I knew when I was drunk one night. He was drunk too (too drunk to drive) and I knew he was gay back when being so meant you kept it to yourself. Anyway, I'm pretty certain he thought it was all a drunken nightmare and never mentioned it to me afterwards. Didn't keep him as a friend too long afterwards but then that's the way it's always been for me.
Anyway, I'm lucky to live remotely so I can do whatever I want without worry now. Most everyone I work with and hang around know what I've been through with my last marriage and don't say anything about why I don't date so I'm covered there. Still, if the right one came along I'd probably date again.
I doubt I'll ever tell anyone in RL about my love for horses and my secret desires. Been a zoo all my life.... Didn't have much of a family and few friends, still don't. Wasn't well accepted by most but when I walked home at night I passed through a horse farm. The horses had no problem with me and would always want my attention. Seems they were more humane than humans to me. Respect turned to curiosity, the rest you all can figure out for yourself.

Even they wont accept beastality! I feel I will never tell anyone about my love! Hopefully there will be a day, because I really want to let it out! It's killing me inside. Same here. ive only told 2 of my best friends, that was in the middle of the year, and they were cool with it, they still look at me when i mention me and a dog. :whistling:

My Brother 'I think' Knew I was having relations with animals. I believe he told a few of our mutual friend. Due to there reactions, I have denied it. I had to go as far as to start dating humans again just to get them to leave me alone about it. Thats what you get when you have a bunch of macho, bone head friends.

I've never told anyone. A friends mom once caught me playing with her dog once, and she was cool with it, and a friend and I used to download f/d/h porn and laugh about it, but I never got the impression that he was into it.

A recent episode of Boston Legal addressed the issue with a story about a woman who wanted her marriage of 20 years annulled because her husband loved their cow and had been caught having sex with the cow. I was watching this with my wife, and she expressed her displeasure with the idea and said she'd divorce me if I ever told her I was into cows.

She didn't say anything about mares specifically, but I suppose it extends to them as well. :(

Too bad. Maybe after the kids are gone I'll let her in on it. For now no one in RL does or will know.

I try my best to keep my activities a secret. The city I live in is like Christian HQ, a church on every corner, and 4 local "church" channels on TV. If my activities were to become known, I would probably be either burned at the stake, or run out of town by an angry lynch mod.

However, one of my younger brothers and my best friend know that I watch Zoo movies. They think it's gross, and they often joke around about it when we rip on each other, but they don't know I participate.

The only person who DID know was my late Aunt. She was really cool and open minded about it, so much so that she let me continue to dog sit for her when she would go out of town.

I currently have no plans on letting anyone else in my life know, but I do hope that someday I can find that special someone who will accept my lifestyle when I decide to let them in on my secret.

I tell everyone I am a furry and hint others that I am a zoo. My good friends know and they will joke around with me about it. I am proud to be a zoo. I have a few pins on my backpack that hint to me being a zoo and furry.

It is risky though to tell others that you are a zoophile. Not everyone can be cool with it. I haven't told anyone in my family about it even though some think they have an idea. I know my family would freak out big time about it.

Well, lets see here, my brother walked in on me while i was having relations with my doggie, then went and told my mom, so they know. Ive told a handful of my friends, but they were pretty odd to begin with, looking at different types of porn (cartoon, furry, etc) and they totally except it. Id like to tell the world, but id better keep it pretty much a secret to save my reputation from people that are "christian". I love this site, i can talk to everyone here about it freely. B)

I wish I could let people know I'm 'that' way. If I did I don't think I'd see the light of day again tho. I know for sure I'd never see my friends family again. No one around me would accept it. :(
