me, i have a nice lil' farm in a rural neihbor hood about 50 acres w/ a very nice tree line for privecy. so i have lots of room to frolick aand play w/ my animals in peace, unfortionitly i will be mooving shortly (meh im almost old enough to drink i cant live in my parents house forever(, but still for the time being im usualy home all alonr 24/7. so i have a great setup for our life style, evan though i do only have 1 horse and though i love her i would love to have a stud, and of course my yogy bear he's the best!! so i was just wondering what it was like for some of our fellow zoo's + beasties? i know we all come from differant life styles some witth huge farms and lots and lots of animals and some with only small apartments and sadly no pets at all (i feel ur pain), so what it like for you?

I've been stuck in big cities for most of my life. Oddly enough, I kinda like it. When I was younger we had a house in the middle of nowhere with about 10 acres of land. That was BORING....

Gimme the fast lane everytime.

I have lived in the country, in suburbia, and in the city. My preferance for a zoo life style is the country fairly close ta the city. This allows you your privacy when you want it, and still have access the things in the city. Thus allowing you to take advantage of both life styles.

Right now it's a large camper(for sale) on a very big pickup.
wherever I may roam, where I lay my head is home.

I live in a one room apartment with my Female Roomie :) she is a great girl :)
It's almost in the center of town, so it's me and woofles. She don't like many of the dogs in the area though fur some reason.

Well, I live 5 miles in on a seasonal road (not maintained) on 100 acres of land.
It is about 40 acres hardwood forest and 60 acres cedar swamp. This acreage
is surrounded by thousands of acres of mead owned and state owned land so
I have the ultimate privacy setting. I share this place with 2 female k-9
companions, and lots of wildlife. I live in a camp which is now my home.
I just had a phone line run out here about a month ago and Ive been loving it
ever since. The nearest village (pop. 300) is about 15 miles away. I spend all my
time back here and go to the nearest city (pop.15,000) about once a month.
It is about 35 miles away. I dont even have plates on my car and do all my
driving back here on the logging roads with my 2 girls.
Never cared for the city much, so this is the place for me.

p.s. mead owned land means large areas of forested land owned by mead paper
inc. and is open to the public, and state owned land is also open to the public.

I'm renting a second house on my landlord's property about a mile outside of town. They have 3 acres here, a big barn, and 6 horses. I haven't done anything with the horses. I'm waiting until I get my own mare and she will be very special to me. I don't like the idea of messing with someone else's horse. My landlord said I could keep a horse here for free. I hope to get one within the next year.

It's a nice place here. The house is big for just myself and it gets a little lonely living alone. Hopefully someday I can find a zoo friendly woman.

The only bad thing about this place (besides having to pay rent) is my truck and car get covered with dust and cobwebs in about three days. Ah, the joy of country living.

I live in my own place in the big city with my mate: a purebred male GSD. And it's very private and quiet - just close the door heh. I've lived in the city most of my life, and I couldn't see myself living in the country/boonies/middle-of-nowhere.

I have a townhome with a fenced backyard. Just me and my two male dogs. a Mutt and a Lab. National Forest is only two miles away. We go play there almost everyday after work. Going to move to the family farm of 320 acres in OK in seven years. No one lives there, the land is least to a local rancher for grazing right now. When i move there, among other things I will get a sheep, name her Suzy, put a pink ribbon in her hair. :P

Woof woof !

I have a small farm in a rural area. There is plenty of privacy, but I would prefer something like Jezzabelle. I have little use for "civilization".
