I feel there is a misconception regarding this subject. In same species dog mating, it's not the male who knots with the female, but vice versa. A bitch has specialized vaginal muscles that actually clamps down and prevents the male from getting away and not the males bulb swelling and getting tied inside the bitch. The bulb simply allows the bitch
to have something to clamp down on.

Human females don't have these specialized vaginal muscles, so she can't really get tied to a male k9 during sex. The male can always slip out. What's actually happens is. A
human female can take the entire k9 member, so the bulb can indeed slip all the way into the woman. Depending on the male's size, the woman may experience feelings of desperation and fear thinking his cock is stuck inside and she'll never get away. However they aren't in fact knotted or tied.

Real bona fide knotting only occurs during dog/dog mating. In five years of mating with a well endowed and aggressive Bull Mastiff, we never got actually tied.

Can't say much about vaginally (which is designed to accommodate the passage of a 9lb baby, after all) but anally the tie is such that there is absolutely no possibility of escape -- in my humble experience -- with a largish sized dog. I guess it could be extrapolated that dog/anal sex is closer to the feeling of a bitch for the dog? I always liken it to trying to pull two limes firmly mounted to a pole out of you  . It just aint gonna happen (again, in my experience with anal) or at least not without injury.
