As far as that mess in Washingtong goes there WAS NEVER and chickens / sheep or goats there i know that for a FACT.

It was just createive BS by the media to boost rateings.

I've done it many times. Petting zoos, state fairs, etc. Not intercourse mind you, but definately have fingered some cows, goats, does, mini donkey mares, etc. Dog parks I've done some fondling as well. I've been told by zoo friends that sometimes I'm too obvious, but zoos know zoos.. the common man isn't usually even looking at that sort of thing. Take as an example peoples inability to know the gender of a dog.. calling a dog a HE when it's obviously a SHE.. they just don't look at that sort of thing. Brains are wired differently.

I totlly agree with that.
When I was younger (after I knew about my love for animals though), i was on holiday (can't actually remember where now), but there were these horse draw cart things all over the resort, so we decided to have a go on one.
When we get off my parents asked "can we stoke her", even the the horse was quite clearly a stallion as he had his penis fully erect.
I had to stop myself laughing so they wouldnt find out!
I've never forgotton that, it's too damn funny to forget!

Well, as far as legality in North America goes, often they won't arrest you for bestiality, but for the possession of bestiality porn. They feel that if a tape is made, then potentially anyone can get their hands on it. Including children. So they classify it as "contributing to the delinquency of a minor". Most news blurbs I've seen include this charge and sometimes include something about the "decency act", which many states have.

It's also illegal in Canada (where I live) but I can't recall the last time I heard a story about it.

Part of the punishment in the States is public embarrassment; they post your name and even your picture in newspapers to shame you. :( I'm not sure if they do that in Canada, so that might explain why there are few news stories about it.

We have more open space in Canada, so maybe we're just better at keeping our private lives private!
