I told my ex about my interests and activities with animals and he was actually very interested in seeing me do it, but other things pushed us apart(him hitting me was at the top of that list) so he never was able to be involved. The last couple friends I've had, people I really counted as friends, have known. But that tends to happen when you meet them on a forum like this or find out after meeting them that they have an account here.

Another very close friend/future roommate of mine isn't on this forum but he knows about my interests and the things I've done with animals, he fullys accepts that part of me and actually wants to help me get a dog for the household to love and train after enough time has passed.

I don't plan to ever tell the rest of my family, psycho-christian youth pastor parents and an uptight sister just don't sound likely to accept it, and it doesn't bother me to not tell them. I left home because they couldn't accept basic things about who I am, much less anything 'odd'. So there's no trust there anyway. :rolleyes:

Anyone in my life that I'm ever romantic with will know from the start what my interests are though if they've gained my trust. Even if it means they walk away, I plan to be open with those that I trust.

I was a sheltered child. I never even thought about anything sexual or sensual, until I was in my late teens. Of course, every boy/man, has some interest once they start noticing that the girls are different than they are, and I guess, the mysterious way that girls and boys differ, and are treated, has to stir some interest too.

I was in my twenties when I first had much of any thoughts on the possibility that human animals and 'lower' animals could do anything together in that area. My wife and I were newly married then, and we sometimes saw the neighbors dogs going at it. She would get very affectionate suddenly, and we even shared fantacies of what it would be like to participate. We shared those feeling freely then, and I think it helped us to feel closer to each other, to have something so 'private' between us. Well, that was like 35 years ago, and recently my wife got on this computer and found my cache of downloads. Now she has had some medical problems, and the prescriptions that she takes, do have the side effects of decreasing her libido. Although she hasn't threatened to kill me for viewing this material, she has threatened to murder my computer several times, and she probably would, if it wasn't too expensive for that kind of thing.

I'm not sure if she told our daughter, or if my daughter got on my computer and found them herself (she's 32, and was back living at home for a while recently), but my daughter seems to know all about my viewing habits too, and doesn't seem to be too bothered by it. My 35 year old son has more of a problem with it and has repeatedly warned me to delete everything before anyone else finds my stuff and uses it against me. I couldn't tell my non-immediate family (brother, sisters, dad) as they are mostly strict Catholics and would be even more disappointed in me than they already seem to be (I'm the black sheep of the family).

So I am very careful as to who I speak with in regards to any of this, and it will be a very warm day at the north pole before most of my other friends / aquaintances or anyone else, gets the information.

You're all the first people I've told! No, just kidding. I haven't told anybody except my psychiatrist and some woman I spoke to online years ago. And in my teens I would worry a lot about how I would break it to my wife in the future. Now I wonder where I can find a woman who is a zoo also with whom I can share that joy with. I have to say that the past 10 years, from the time I realized I was a zoophile to now, have been difficult. I'm only beginning to accept that it's a part of me and always will be. And I'm hoping this site and the friends I make here can help me with that. :)

A good friend of mine knows and I have tested the waters so to speek with my girlfriend. My parents don't know other than a picture came up on my screen saver once, but they just passed it of as a picture I shouldn't have on my screen saver.
And there is every one on here, its kinda a safe haven for us. Untill I joined here I though I was weird but now I am around other people who share a comen intruest.

No one knows...

A couple of my friends know - both of them are kinky enough that zoo stuff doesn't phase them in the slightest. Never told my family, though I think they'd be relatively understanding about it (they tend to be pretty laid back about sexual things). The biggest trouble was my girlfriend - turned out she was also curious about it and interested in it (though much less than me), and I'm not sure what effect it had on us. I told her during a time in which we briefly split up, and we're still trying to recover from that. At first, it seems that in general, our shared zoo interest brought us together more, and we'd happily screw while watching zoo movies. But lately she's apparently had second thoughts, said it still turns her on, but she's not so sure it's moral...so we're going to have to talk about that, alas. If she decides it's immoral, I think it cannot fail to drive a wedge between us, because it is very important to me, and I don't think she'll be able to accept me being into something she can't accept...I think it will make her feel threatened. :( If she decides it's ok, then I have to see how willing she is to take it beyond the fantasy stage. :)

I was involved with my Lab before I met my hubby. Once things got really serious between us, I decided it was best to come clean about my relationship with my Lab. Luckily he didn't freak out or anything. he was curious about it. Asked a lot of questions, but soon wanted to watch. He used to watch a lot initially, then less and less as time went on. Eventually he just accepted my k9 relationships as a part of our marriage. I was very lucky in this regard. :dance:

hehe. I'm looking selectively. :P not wanting to get married until atleast I finish my bachelor's.. if i did get married during vet school I wouldn't want kids till after that.

It seems like something as heavy as coming out of the... well barn i suppose, would be best suited to those closest to you. And I don't necessarily mean family. I sometimes feel more able to share things with friends that I would NEVER tell my parents.

I'd never tell my family, there is no way in the world I would do that. I've never really had a girlfriend that I could share the interest with much. There have been a few that knew it about me, and expressed curiousity themselves, but would likely never do it.

I am so lucky, my partner is also my soulmate, He is extreemly sexual and likes all kinds of things... in the five years we have been together... we have both been always able to talk about what turns us on... and so my liking for large male dogs has never been a problem and it drives us both wild.... nobody else knows but that's fine as it adds to that naughty but nice element...and it is sooooo nice!!!!!

i told my bestest friend, he was very accepting of it. i think i even got him curious about it..lol. so far so good. as for my Boyfriend uh.. not yetm im not ready to tell him. when i feel ready it'l come out.. as for family.. nope sprry that is a subject im not getting into

wow -- I would have never thought your significant other would ever be opposed to what turns you on -- my hubby and I started dating when I was 15 -- (almost 17 years ago) and our sex life has always been on the exciting side - we have had some k-9 experince with oral on me - and occasionally on him - and I would love to be mounted one day - I just cant understand how your mate would be so upset about something that would bring you so much joy...
