I cant open them, they save as .001,.002 due to the name of the files having animalpassions.something.something etc files and I cant change it. The comp instantly assumes the .something is the file extension.

The ".001" ".002" ".003"...etc. file extensions are there because the file has been broken up into several smaller files with HJsplit. You can download HJSplit here. Download each file, and then using HJsplit, select the ".001" file as the input file and click "join." The file will automatically put all of the files together and save them as a single .avi file which can then be played. It was also said that they were in DivX format. You can download DivX here. Hope this helps!

You also can use Total Commander or Windows Commander to join it.
