Not sanitary enough for me. Only under strict clean conditions would I ever consider it.

I find getting some rim is quite nice, but to do it just doesn't sit with me. I'm always too paranoid about the microscopic mess.

And that is true for all species, not just human, equine, canine, caprine, etc. But ... on mares, I don't see where it would make much of a difference. That being said, I don't mind it at all. Yes, I rim my mares, but not all the time. Both her and I have to be in a mood to enjoy it, and that doesn't happen....though she's always in a mood to enjoy my tongue just a little lower. B)

Word of caution. On females, be careful about transferring that "microscopic mess" to the vaginal area. Never rim/insert/sex and then switch to vaginal. Bad ... bad ... bad idea.

Love the smell and taste of any under tail horse areas. My old stallion loves rectal work done on him. He often drops and sopmetimes throbs his cock, and also sometimes lets a long appreciative fart go right in my mouth.

But I've done it, and done it _alot_. :P I absolutely LOVE rimming mares. As was said earlier in this post, a horse doesn't have alot in their waste that is bad. It's mostly undigested grass and such. And to make it even better, most mares (and probably most horses in general) seem to enjoy the attention back there! I had one mare in particular; she wouldn't let me touch her pussy, but as soon as I started working her ass she stood stock still and raised her tail. She _loved_ it. Really. I would spend hours with her some evenings just workin it!

I've heard that with dogs there is a danger bacteria wise, so be careful. I'm sure there is info out there on it...it's not my thing so I haven't researched it....perhaps one of you out there knows more?

There is still more than enough bacteria in a horse's manure to easily kill you, including worms :) E-coli is just one of the happy little bugs living in a horse's digestive tract. They aren't much "safer" than any other species, if at all!
