I hinted around about it with my girlfriend early on in our relationship. We still share this special bond today, that I believe got us closer than just about any other aspect of our relationship; as it built a strong foundation of trust and understanding to share such a "deep dark secret" with one another and have it be the same.

In a relationship if something is important to one partner it has to be important to the other as well. It is definitely a difficult subject to deal with. On the one hand you want to be able to tell the one you love and the very person you are supposed to trust with all your secrets about your desires but on the other hand some people are so close-minded they will never accept any alternative sexuality.

I guess it all boils down to your individual relationship and trust level with your partner.
