hot close-ups!

does your camera flash dim for close-ups shots? because i find with my camera that whenever i take close-ups with the flash the shot is too bright. do you put something translucent over the flash, or do you use Photoshop?

This is what I did. As far as I know it don't have a dimmer. It's a Toshiba PDM-25 model, and it don't dim. I have had the problems that you speak of. I used this setting for these:
It was early morning: used ISO200, I zoomed in a little, used flash, let it settle, or let the little focus beep sound. It is on automatic setting, so it should manage it every time. though it don't. These are the Beast ones from that collection.
I can also take small series shots: 16 smaller pix in one large, in sequence, but without the flash.
When I edit these for posting, as I tend to use the setting for High quality large pic:
the size is like 1792x1200, and used Lview to downsize, the last one also to gamma correct a little, and to put the text in.

Sadly she isn't mine, and she is still for sale. Sadly if I hadn't been so much of an a-hole and "helped" a "friend" with a loan which seems not to be getting repaid, I should have been able to buy her. This gives me the lesson: "DON*T LEND OTHERS MONEY" The fact that she is still up for sale means that by the end of the season, ie June she'll be moving away unless someone buys her and keeps her there.

She does have a sweet scent to her and she is very nice to mate with, though she can have quite a bit of a temper, as she has kicked me a few times, last time was for me cleaning out her rear hooves.

Will try and make more of her, now that I have kinda figured out how to make good pix.
