This is my attempt at a "good" post. I know from experience that I am not perfect, I will go with "good" and try for "great". I am posting this in hopes that it will serve as a "guide", to help members make "good post better". Throughout this post you will see "note" or "notice" These are for demonstration purposes and are not required to make a great post.

:huh: The last thing the staff and super mods want to have to do is delete your post or warn you, we WANT your posts to be good and stay on the board.

:huh: This post is a concrete application of the posting rules you can find at the top of the screen. In doubt, or when you have additional questions, please consult these posting rules. They are extensive, and contain examples as well.

The red text are the most common reasons that posts get deleted please watch for them.
The green text are instuctional to making a "good" post "better" please watch for them also.

Now for the screenshots,
notice that I "replied to my own posts" this keeps your posts neatly together and reduces "clutter" on the board.
Always use the reply button, a lot of post get deleted because they are "scattered"
You need screenshots or very acurate descriptions for each clip, as it lets other members know the content.
You can post them seperately, or you can use Irfanview and make a contact sheet. I use MWsnap to make them, and Irfanview to combine them. Both programs are free and the links are posted on this board, if you can't find them send me a PM I will send them to you.
First I will post them seperately, then I will post one contact sheet, so you can decide which you perfer.

note: it is important to post the size of the clip, when another member downloads it they can be sure that it is complete ( server timeouts and such can cause corrupt files).
Note: I always try to remember to post the number of clips (01 of 11) at least on the first upload, then other members will know when they have all of it that you are going to post.
note:sometimes files download from ptp"file sharing" sites/programs like DC or Kazzaa have vulgar names ex:slut F**ks dog. You have to change these before posting, this is another common reason why posts get deleted. It is easy, just right click on the file and left click "rename" and type in a file name like "girl-dog 001"

Contact sheet for clip 2
note: you need to provide screenshots or contact sheets for each individual clip.
This is another common reason posts get deleted
While on movies that are split with HJSplit it is screenshots or contact sheet for the "whole" movie. These "split"movies are becoming popular here and I am glad. It makes it easier to upload or download large movies, and the VIP Board is "full" of them.

note: this has kinda become a "signature" of mine, people who have downloaded my material in the past will recognize it, you are welcome to use it, it would be better to develop your own. "It promotes replies and thank you's" and generally lets the people that download my posts know that I have completed the thread.

another note: replies and thank you's will earn you a lot of Friends on the BF

last note: when you make a posts, check it periodically and see who has replied,
and occasionally thank them for taking the time to reply, you don't have to do this for every reply, but it helps of they know that you have noticed and it seems to prompt more people to add "replies and thank you's", not just in your post but in others as well.
you can make it kind of general,saying something like
"Thanks to all who took the time to reply"
