Well I was wondering about something. Many people on this board and others no doubt have other interests besides animal sex. Most people do have multiple things they are into after all. That said, does anyone here go to alternative lifestyle conventions? Such as AdultCon, or other SM/BD, fetish conventions and I include furry and anime conventions as well in this grouping. While I acknowledge that our particular lifestyle is taboo at these functions, has anyone got the feeling that there are, none the less, noticeable numbers of us at these kinds of get to gethers? "Official" policies aside I personally know, that things like furry conventions certainly attract much higher numbers (in terms of populational percentages) of certain kinds of fetishes and this includes zooeys and beasties. I was wondering if anyone else besides me has experienced that affect at lifestyle conventions as well.

I can tell you right now the furry fandom is split down the middle. Half will completely ostracize you from the fandom and tell everybody what you're up to and try to find out where you live so your animals can be taken away. The other half are zoos and zoo sympathizers themselves. You have to be VERY careful whom you reveal your secret to, should you reveal it to anyone. But even with all the zoophile hatred, the furry fandom is still much more accepting to this practice than "mundanes".
I don't know about fetish cons, but I suspect that they wouldn't generally be in to zoo because it's illegal most places and would make the rest of their misunderstood fetishes look far worse.

I am a member of a BDSM community - and when i broached my exp of zzoo with some "close" friends there - i could feel the temp drop.

the fetihists tend to build walls aroudn them and have a superiior attitude. I find that a bit surprising as i thought somebbody into fetiish will be open minded to allow others their own space

I found this comment quiet interesting but it is true! Alot of people have there own idea of fun and was to make it interesting. Everyone has their own fetish. You would think that they you open thier minds and accept any other fetishes. I consider this part of me a life style and a part of who i am and because of who i am i have no right to judge others and what they do. I was at an anime convention and actually found a few zoos/beasties/furries and i was careful to bring up the subject but it was an interesting experience. Its a shame that there are things that seem much "worse" or "gross" then the lifestyle that we live

I have a lot of fetishes, a lot that i think are "bad". Some I dont want to practice but I have read stories and sometimes fantasize about doing it. I am although getting my feet wet with the BDSM topic. I know a lot of people who pratice and I am starting my way into there. A few people I have talked about with this lifestyle of a zoo and I have had only two people say they dont like it. Its strange how much I read people saying they have to hide it, but I have been open with many people and I havent had any backlash except from a select few people, maybe I am just lucky

Something I do believe is that this topic is something a lot of people are curious about, but yet they believe it is wrong because it is what they have been taught/told, so that is how they react to it. I believe that a zoo lifestyle can add to a lot of fetishes or lifestyles, but yet it is one of the ones most looked at as wrong.
