I have absolutely no problem (rather the opposite) with having sex with a human partner when i'm on my period!
Never had a man go down on me during those times, many men are like you said grossed out by that thought!
Also grossed out about the mess sex of any kind during periods make, but there ARE way's to go about having sex during period to not make such a mess! Like shower for instance, which of course is a good place to have sex regardless!

Women do not go into heat like a bitch does. A woman's period has nothing to do with sexual desire. The bleeding simply shows that conception did not take place and her body is just shedding the lining of the uterus with accompanying blood flow.

Well I am on the Depo shot, so no periods for me anymore as long as I continue. I really needed it though because I had strange mood swings, depression, etc around the time of my periods so I was in no mood for sex or anything else, lol. This shot makes me much less temperamental.

I have had two girlfriends that enjoyed sex while on their period. One was rather neutral and the other was more excited than normal and I really liked doing her during this time as she was more wild and vocal. Remember much of sex is in the mind, so for some it is a turn-on and others a turn-off.
