Nice continuation. Sometimes it is best to confront your demons by putting them out in the open to really examine your fears. I do that on occasion to purge myself of feelings I have bottled up inside. :P It can be really helpful as this community exists to support one another in good times and bad. :o

Amazing, I share a similar struggle of faith. Thanks for sharing yours. I hope it works out eventually in God's favor, as I do for mine.

:)
 ^_^ katmaryo, this is Shy Doglover. I haven't posted anything on this forum for quite some time. :( I used to come here quite often and I really enjoyed the experience and the interaction with forum members. But after being put down a bit as a result of coming out and being perhaps too honest and open about my strong need and desperate desire to have a female dog to share french kisses with, well, I just stopped posting here altogether, though I never stopped checking out the stories on this forum. I became something of a lurker here. But katmaryo, you have caused me to break my silence here because I simply couldn't ignore such a sensitive, loving and well written story hon. ;) Usually my favorite stories are about men involved in tender loving relationships with female dogs because that's what my own personal preference is. :P But I must say that this story is written with such complete honesty and tenderness, that it truly stands out here as one of the best stories I've come across in a long time, and for that reason alone, it deserves a 10. But not only is it a very tender and honest story, it is written exceptionally well. :clapping: :whistling: Your memories of these events in your life, even though they happened long ago are obviously still crystal clear in your mind, and that is truly wonderful. I'm sure that by now, Bull must be long gone, but it is totally obvious just how much he taught you, how much of an inspiration he was to you and how loving and important Bull was to you. :inlove: I will not dwell on this aspect of my life because I've mentioned it many times before, but I am currently living in a home where the other residents here are simply not all there mentally. They have problems ranging from schitsophrenia to depression to agoraphobia to even being bipolar. Therefore, I do not have a social life to speak of with anyone here, and the loneliness and isolation that I feel during nearly every waking hour of my life can sometimes be overwhelming. Add to that, the fact that I am extremely sensitive and also an extravert, and you can see the problem I'm sure. :crying: Whenever I come here to the forum, I am always looking for stories that are long, involved and well written. I actually discovered your story sometime back last September and I loved it them. I waited for several weeks for you to add additional chapters to this story and I feared that you were just going to let it go. But last night I discovered that you had added two more wonderful moving chapters, and this is what prompted me to log on here and break my silence. After all, it's no good just lurking on here and not letting you know how much I absolutely love this story and how tremendously the story of your relationships with both King and Bull has truly moved me. :o Even the religious aspect of your story which you felt so worried about and which caused you to hesitate in posting this section was written very sentively and tastefully. Anyone who has been raised as a Catholic can understand your inner turmoil and emotional conflicts very well I'm sure, and even those of us that were raised in other Christians sects, can certainly understand how after such a long absence from being in a church, how the experience could be to say the least, unsettling. Above all katmaryo, this story is written with so much total honesty and with such wonderful tenderness and love and compassion. My biggest frustration is that I can't give you a 100 for this story because to me, that's what it clearly deserves. There are stories on this forum and then THERE ARE STORIES! This story is absolutely outstanding. The sentence structure flows beautifully and smoothly and the story takes us through your life in a very personal way. I found myself actually crying along with you just imagining the total anger, frustration and emptiness of life without King, when it was all so needless. :crying:  For thirteen years, I had the most wonderful loving and devoted guide dog, and I had to put him down in June of 2003. People told me that life would eventually get better but I must admit that it really never has. I still miss him tremendously. In fact I feel like a part of my very soul left me the day I put him down and I have never gotten it back. :( Anyway katmaryo, I feel I must thank you from the bottom of my heart for a gem of a story, a story that has truly touched my own heart, and left a soft spot in my heart for you hon.:flowers: :inlove: Yeh I know, you don't care much for men. But there are some of us out there that are very sensitive, and don't like to play the game that so many men do, and I just want you to know that. I also want you to know that at this point in my life I seem to be k9 exclusive, but unfortunately there is no k9 in my life right now because the fellow that runs this house doesn't want me to have a guide dog. He hasn't exactly said that, instead, he's told me that yes, I can have a guide dog here as long as it's a small breed, and because of the impossibility of a small breed dog being able to lead me around, a small breed guide dog is absolutely impossible for me to own. Anyway dear, what an amazing, excellent and heart warming story and I must thank you for writing this wonderful masterpiece to share with us.  :clapping: ^_^ Shy This post has been edited by Shy Doglover on Nov 7 2009, 09:11 PM |

Shy Doglover,
thank you very much for taking your time and also opening your inner thoughts in this way. This story thread is indeed worth every praise and the valued words you have put together. I am not a being of many words but I do recognize and value good and honest writing especially if put together with so much emotion and skill. Thanks for this experience. M. |

Kat, one of the greatest stories that I have read on this forum. Kat, I appreciate the honesty in your words. A memoir like this comes along ever so often. Thank you for you honest words. A 20 for sure.
