Hey people, I haven't posted in a while. I have done a little art, mostly coloring of other peoples work. I have done some more cartoon looking original stuff, but I wasn't very pleased. I'm not quite the artist I used to be 10 years ago. Anyway, I am trying some more real life looking pictures of horses and wanted to know what you guys thought of one of my early stage sketches. I'm mostly worried about proportions and angles. It looks pretty good to me, especially seeing as I don't normally do people and animals very well. I will have to adjust as I add more detail. Hard to really get the full effect with only a rough pencil outline. This won't be like a portrait, just less cartoonish than say Klaus would do, which is partly my inspiration for doing this. Criticism would be helpful, only if you have some input, please don't be a smart ass and just say it sucks. I just want proportions to be correct before I start adding details. I will add updates as this one comes along. There will probably be more. Depends on my schedule as to how soon.

PS, sorry for the ghetto scan. I don't have a scanner and had to resort to taking a picture of it.

i think it looks pretty good. the only thing i think i would change is its neck seems kinda short... but that's just me. (i'm such a perfectionist it takes me like two weeks to finish a single sketch :lol: )

other than that, very very nice job :D

well to be fair and honest, the neck Does seem short in relation to the size of the head, and I may have made the elbow/shoulder bit smaller, Haaay to be honest with YOU and Everyone here.. It's a mare and heck I love ANY Mare so I'd definately let her have her sexy ways with me..

The genital area Was Good as that is a particular FAV area of mine :P
I would have to check but knot sure you would see that much udder but in otherways I think it looks good :)
