i had planed on breeding my girl at this heat .i found her the best mate i could and she was fine with him as a friend .i took her there a few times a week to play with him and i thought they had hit it off, she went into heat and again she said no head down mean teeth out tail tucked after he backed away she came right up to me and sat down like protect me .the breeder said i could muzzel her and hold her or he could give her something to calm her down i said no i give up now .i made the mistake of saying i loved her so mutch all i wanted was a piece of her to live on .he said you got her from me right i said yea he said hold on a minut.he came back with a puppy and said here i took her and said what is this .he said you paid me 4 times now and didnt get a litter this puppy is from the same mom and dad as your girl her moms last litter he said its not a litter of puppies but its part of her its her sister .he said maby she will mate for you some time .so now i have a puppy 7 weeks old female .i dont know how to start with her i dont want her to end up like my girl as im the only one that she will let mate her what is your advice in this situation let her sister alone or do you think its just my girl :D

Probably pay particular attention watching for jealousy-- Older sister may not care to share you; -- Younger sister may well challenge her when she comes in heat the first time; -- Sibling rivalry with teeth........ ;)

Congratulations on the new pup! All but one of the GSDs I've had have been intensely devoted to me to the exclusion of all others, human and canine. I think I'd leave her out of your sexplay until after she is bred.
Good luck, LTD |

HI,
Congrats on the new girl. I agree to watch for jealousy. I'm glad things worked out, and you have a new girl closely related to your lover. I am about to depart on the same path that you have been on, I want to breed my GSD girl, Dekota, as i to want a special part of her to live on, and am immensely in love with her. But like your girl she's only ever had me, I have a male picked out and she has been with him in play and get along fine, but she's never had a "tie" or male dog in her and i worry how she will react. Another hurdle that i have been going through is the male i have picked out is a few states away so timing is kind of critical and so far hasn't worked out to well, as she's been a bit un regular in her heats, and now deciding to wait until next year do to all the remolding plans i have for the house this summer, i don't want to bring up a litter in the middle of a tore apart house and stuff, but hoping to next spring heat get her bred. Yes i already have several homes planned for the puppies, including my dad and several co workers. some have been bugging me as to when she's going to be in so they can get the pup lol. So homing the pups isn't a problem for me. I just share a lot of your fears in breeding her, and the what if's, I'm so deeply in love with her that i don't want to loose her, but i have decided that i want to keep a part of her. She's a big girl for a GSD 120 pounds, but not overweight just very very strong and well filled out. Tundra |
