The ones that Zeta creations, and others sold, were quarter size, I have 4 of the older ones from them. |

I would be interested in a cheaper pendant. I'm not sure what zetacreations ones were made of, but something around that price range, I would want (less than $20)
Call me cheap, but I don't want to pay $65 for a charm. |

Hmm, I have never heard of these pins or charms? What are they? And how many people do actually wear them?

Not sure how many people wear them, but it is a charm with a symbol used by zoophiles. And I think the symbol looks cool. :D |

Gah! Is that the quoted price of these? They're nice, but not that nice, I'm afraid. I mean, considering their size and the most likely material for their production, they... Erm... *stares at your avatar* What were we talking about again? |

The zeta symbol has been more or less adapted by the zoo/beast community as a "mark" of sorts for someone who is in the lifestyle. Besides looking really cool, it's subtle enough that your average person wouldn't know what it meant, but someone who is a zoo would be able to recognize someone else who's a zoo if they spotted someone wearing the zeta sign. The other common mark for the zoo community is a paw print, but this tends to be a bit generic...I mean anyone who likes dogs can wear a paw print, that doesn't really tell you how much they like their animal. A combination of the two looks nice but again, people will ask what the symbols mean. Things like stickers, decals and shirts have all been suggested. But the pin and pendant are very good choices because you can wear one and get noticed by fellow zoos without drawing undo attention. Plus it would be a kick to wear something that displays your choice openly in public without fear of consequence. People wear things like peace signs and Yin-Yang symbols all the time, for instance. Call me strange, weird, or what, but I wear a dog collar,a nd have been for a few years. And I wear it with a zeta pendant all the time, and it does hang on the outside of my clothes. I've been asked by a lot of people what the deal was about the pendant and the collar. I tell them it is something that I do, and I like it. Some I tell that I wear the collar in my family, cause my dogs don't wear them. I have a white ring around my neck from wearing the collar so long and so much. |

I get a few looks everyplace I good, but well I put it in play with the Goth stuff, I tell some of them. I've gone through 6 dog collars, and have 5 different ones now. One leather spike, one all steel spike, and the typical collar you buy at Walmart and such, that snaps together. But I wear one everyday, if I do forget, the people at work asks whats wrong, wear is the collar. And the dog collars are pretty cheap on ebay, or at Walmart. |

The pins as is were not meant to be for everyone. They are for people who want a very nice pin or pendant that will last a life time rather than one made from a cheap metal that wont keep its shape.

i wore a dog collar for 5 years straight as a younger person *coughtriesnottoviolateunderagerulecough* i know how you feel!! My teachers would all inevitably ask "whats with the collar?" my response at the time (this was somewhat pre-zoo, where i was exceptionally drawn to animals but did not know there was a sexual stigma that went along with that, pre sexual awakening as it were) was "well, why do you wear that tie pin? you dont have to either". i figured that people my age were wearing WORSE things, plus anyone who knew me would say that the collar just 'fit right'. but i do recall the dreaded collar tan... *facepalm* after spending 2 weeks in hawaii wearing just swim trunks and a collar lemmie tell you i had quite the tan line! i miss the 'old days' when your age allowed you to get away with more daring choices like that. in the professional world wearing a collar to work would get you written up at best. its sad, too... i didn't appreciate the freedom i had to make that choice until i lost it. i still have all my old collars (yes, i had many). i had good quality thick leather ones for formal occasions, i had my nylon blue one that was my everyday collar, various water collars, one i wore for hiking because it was lightweight, and one very nice studded one i got from a past human partner. I miss wearing them and do often think of taking it back up again. i just came to fear what others could do to me once i saw what was possible via human brutality and admit i've been spooked ever since. but party on, fellow collar-wearers! hopefully i'll rejoin the ranks again some day! |
