I dont know if any of you heard that but did anyone hear about that incident of an 7 year old boy breaking into an australien zoo and then feeding 13 various reptiles to a crocodile
I just happend to see that on herpy, I cant believe how anyone could do something like that, especially not a 7 year old kid
http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=MCxFVl2UILQ&NR=1

this just made me speechless, those poor reptiles, all dead just because of one stupid child...

what do you feel about that? whos to be blamed?
that stupid kid
or was it the fault of the parents?
who should be punished for that?

for me the kid has to be punished for that, if he can be so heartless to kill them just on a whim, i dont feel pitty at all for him, i wouldnt even mind if anyone would show him how it feels to be fed to a croco

I don't know what to say this is totally shocking. I love reptiles and the idea anyone could do this really makes me angry.
Any 7 year old child should understand not to harm living creatures whatever they are. Its a basic concept of right and wrong, so I have to feel there is somthing lacking in his upbringing for him to not understand this. Especially as he bludgoened some of the animals to death before throwing them to the croc! Also as the attack hapened at night I have to wonder why a 7 year old was out alone at this time. Did his parents know he was out and not care, or did he somehow manage to sneak out of his house. I think the parents should be punished in some way but the child needs to understand that doing something so horrendous has consequences. 09Striker I kinda agree with you about feeding him to the croc, but instead why don't they just let the croc pull one of his arms off. Then he'll have something to remember his actions by forever. Or maybe even better both arms then he couldn't do it again if he wanted too.

I also noticed in the report that the zoo said they have had problems with break ins before. If so surely they could have done more to stop unauthorised access to the reptiles, especially if a 7 year old could get in. But still it shouldn't be an issue as people shouldn't be that vile.

Now I'm just trying to think how to vote

Well first off
as a parent of 2,
I have caught my son doing mean things to bugs an such, but after the NOW EAT it speech, he don't do that no more. My dad taught me dont kill it if you are not gonna eat it. It's pretty simple, very few animals kill for sport. Unfortunately humans happen to be one of the worst. They are certainly not alone, if you have ever watched a cat toy with a mouse, you know they are hunting for practice, not food. Not, that the mouse can tell the differnce.

So, after that.
whom I blaim

1. Parents if I caught my 7 yr old out side after dark, they are gonna arrest me for child abuse from the beating he gonna get.

2. The Zoo. If they had break in's before and the security is so top notch after that it takes a highly trained 7 yr old to get in.............come on.

3. The kid. while he may be young enough for didn't know better to be an excuse, it certainly dont get him out of the afore mentioned whipping he got coming.

really can't blaim the croc for being what god made him
They feed after dark an honestly if the kid had fell in while doing this, imagine the news head lines then. But, it would have been INSTANT karma.

@dirtbiker2000 yeah, that also was what i kinda thought, but even if its a young "oh so innocent child" ,nah screw those words ... :censored:
i feel so mad about that I cant give him that chance, the animals are dead, 13 lives just gone because he didnt care

@smokingit
yeah, I dont think the crocodile is guilty of anything
it was just his usual time to be fed, and actually I dont think he would care for the kind of snack given to him. and if the kid fell in and he swalloed , I know people would desire that one to be killed but I would say that was the revenge for his deeds. one who enjoys playing with the lifes of others deserves no second chance

this one's tough. I think the parents should have been watching more and are highlly responisble. Both the parents for their negligence and the 7 year old should have conseuences. Maybe monetary for the parents and community servcie for the kid?

Oh yeah, no blame for the croc, it didnt do anything it wasn't built to do.
But yeah, lots of blame on mom and dad, plus the kid.
