Just being the person that I am.. it would have to be a very extreme situation for me to rehome one of my pets. I have 4 snakes and a dog right now and as a college student its difficult for me to make sure I have time and still can do well in school and my 3 part time jobs. Despite that I don't regret taking in my pup (basically took him from an ex who had been neglecting the poor boy) and my parents throwing a HUGE fit... plus, snakes aren't too difficult to look after.
I do plan to breed my snakes- and when they have babies, those will be (mostly) sold. I don't consider that the same thing as adopting or re-homing any other critters.. the snakes are a hobby business.

If you honestly cannot take care of your pet properly with enough care and attention and financial support (vet bills, food, etc) then I definitely support finding a new home.
Too many people don't do that.. and the animals suffer.

Thanks for your comments :)

Obviously re homing is an extreme situation ..... this is one of those situations. I used to wonder how people could possibly consider it ..... until my own life changed so much over the last year and now I can see at times, there really is no other choice ...... as much as it pains you to even think about it much less do it!

I didn't say I couldn't take care of him properly in terms of love, attention or food etc ...... as I'm sure you'll appreciate I won't be giving the exact reasons here ;)
