Could be wrong--(I'm no Mod), but I think a passing discussion is allowed, but even a hint of whaling on someone for their belief, or trying to "convert", will get you a fast ticket to the flaming pit.

Ex: Say religion requires "the clip" and go away for good. Say supported medical fact, quote the source, shows a reduction in STD's, (not your opinion), you're probably OK.

Not so sure on the political activism thing-- Too many "Normals" still consider it abuse (see? I'm not off-topic after all!). Right now, any real events cause outrage and knee-jerk legislation. Comedy references are happening more often and being accepted as mainstream. Until recently the only place you heard anything was on Comedy Central, after 9 PM, NR/AO. Now you see a Hardee's guy marrying a goat. On prime time network TV. Just give it time--all things come to those who wait......

Off-Topic: Why are there dog hairs sticking to my monitor screen?!?
You'd think Apple would do something about that...... :pinch:

QUOTE (Tomokato @ Oct 10 2008, 10:45 AM)
The issue is one of consent and mental capacity. People believe that animals have the mental maturity of children and thus are unable to understand hence consent to sex, thus, to them, all animal sex is rape.

That's it in a nutshell.

Regardless of our own opinions, that's what society as a whole thinks. Now I'm not comparing zoophiles to pedophile's. But pedophile's always swear that their underage partners understand and even actively participate.

Yet we still condemn them and rightly so. So no matter how much we argue about the animal's active willingness. Our opinions will be disregarded and ridiculed by society.
