Both my cats are male and I'm hetero, but they're like the non-obnoxious little brothers of my family! They rule :D.

Bein the romantic person I am I would check "I'd die for her", yet being realistic I checked "She's my lover". Frankly, I don't see the point in dying for somebody else, though I love my dog very much. In case it ever came to this point for me between choosing between her life and mine, I'd have to live with my decision. I'd have to see if I could, though.

I hold the same view as Prank, I just didn't want to be the first to say it. -_-
Maybe risk your life to save him/her, maybe...but I don't see the point in actually dying for someone else.

I'd gladly take a bullet for my pets, however in the case I dont need to I'd like to simply keep them as lovers

it's a tool for me to use
it's a pet nothing more
it's a part of the family
it's my lover

All of the above :o

I don't get overly emotional when it comes to pets. Since I've taken them in, obviously it's my duty to care for them and all. But that doesn't mean I'd seriously risk my own life or a family members life to save them in an emergency. I can always get another dog, as harsh as that may sound to some.

That said, yes i do consider a pet to be a member of the family, sought of any way.
I consider them to be part of the family, but not a family member. If you get my meaning??

I considered both my k9 partners to be my lovers. We were sexually active together, so what else can I call them? Yet I also had no problem looking upon them as live sex toys too. Always eager and willing to please.

I'm sure when it came to sex, both my k9 partners simply saw me as a bitch. Who was ready and willing for them to mate with. So I didn't have any qualms about thinking about them as studs to be used for my pleasure. :o :whistling:

its my lover no,not its, He is my lover :: sighs with a smile :: the relationships are different between every lover/ animal... some much deeper than others, and in rare occasions some are even just for self pleasure ( doesnt mean you dont care about them ) its true, we all have our moments when its only about your lust and desires, theirs nuthing wrong with having those moments, cause we all know we cant do that for long before the thought of being able to give them pleasure comes back to you.... im sure most all of you truly want to share that wonderful feeling and to teach them that you can help and want them to enjoy it with you cause you love them.

also the connection you have can be affected by their intelligence. some dogs to me are that... just dogs, but others i connect more with. and then the rare extremely deep connections that are so close that just facial expressions, and the slightest body language and your pet understands you before you even speak. and not just things done by repetition, a bond of understanding. hope i dident bore everyone :: giggles ::

My dogs are my family, my lovers, my partners, and my best friends. Not sure how else to describe it, but they certainly are not just a "tool" for me to use. The relationships I form with my dogs are far more than just sexual.

I agree with silky on one part, and that is that I would never put a dogs life over a humans. I would however risk my life to try and save them if their lifes were in danger. That doesn't mean I love them any less, because they do mean the world to me. But they are still dogs....and that is perfectly fine to them and me. That is why I love them so much afterall, not because they are little humans in fursuits, but because they are dogs...if that makes any sense.
