My college has their students collect buttons (like pin on buttons) and wear them proudly on their graduation gowns at the final ceremony.

I thought I would inquire three things:
1. Do you have buttons? It would be a kick to wear one and have the whole college see it yet have no idea what it meant!
2. If not, have you considered making some little trinkets to sell? Buttons? Ribbons? Just little things to fund the forum that may or may not have the name on them?
3. If not, may I print the logo and make a button for myself for graduation next year?

What graduation? Junior high?

Most mature thinking people would never do somthing like this to attract people from mainstream with a suggestion that you might be involved in this life style.

Personally I wouldn't want you doing anything to attract them to this fourim either. If they are interested they will find us.. If they are not we don't want them here.

Do yourself and the forum a favor and DO NOT do this.

*patpat* no worries. You seem to misunderstand.

#1. The chances anyone would see this button I would make are near Nil. It would be one of 1432(so far) and would only be worn on my robe for one day.

That being said, There is also another reason:

#2. I wouldn't make it blatant. I don't want to attract people to this forum in a negative way any more than you do. I'd probably just use the paw print from the word forum, which I thought was the logo, am I wrong on that one? (The mascot is a wild cat, so no one would take a second glance.) Or maybe just the word "BEAST," which seems to be slang for harcore around here. I'd get a kick out of knowing something they didn't, and being able to "show my colors" without them realizing it. The part about them NOT KNOWING what it's about is what I think I failed to clearly express.
It's all for fun. No political statement needed. No name or website address intended. Not trying to attract attention to this place.

#3. I appreciate you calling me immature. Thanks a bunch. ^_^

If you're giving me a flat out NO on this one, I'll respect those wishes and do something else equally entertaining buttonwise. Not sure what yet, but I'll think of something.

deerhunter is amusing, and yet so right.

cheesyness, you should just use a plain pawprint. You could find those anywhere, I'm sure. And it does not necessarily mean anything, except whatever meaning you give it. No words, no other symbols, just a plain pawprint.

I actually mentioned this some time ago, with regards to Bf merchandising such as pins/button type bages or patches with a logo designed by us.......a sort of random individual shape that, when worn, would only be recondnised by us.

To everyone else, it would just be a random shape.....but we would know better...:))

As far as I am aware, this idea has been toyed with but dropped. Basically, its a nice idea but would probably cause dramas for members in reality.

Shame.......I would buy it....stickers for my computer and such.

Well, I thank you for your consideration then! I'll find something else to do. Maybe a paw print from elsewhere.
