I wanted to start this thread because I know there are so many who tell me of the "new additions" to their family and how excited they are to share them. So this is what this thread is for. To show off your new family members, those newborns, or even not so "newborns" you have brought into your families. Let's hear about them, or if you have pictures, see them.

This is mine.

This is Renegade who was given to me at 6 weeks old and is the son of my precious 4 yr old dog, Rebel who I had to choose to be put down a week ago last Wednesday.

Renegade was given to me last Friday and he is full of energy. He is a registered Golden Retriever. He loves to get into everything and is so playful. He even has so many attributes of his father from stretching out to lie flat on his belly, to lifting his front right paw and 'waving'. He loves company and pounces at the ball, frisbee or whatever is in front of him.

Though at first he whimpered during the night, he now does it when he needs to go outside which is surprising, because he's only peed on the floor twice. He did very well with his first bath and has slept through the night well. He's even learned to sit and even shake. He is very smart that's for certain, and is well loved.

I really thought I'd never want another dog after Rebel, but Renegade changed all that. I just hope he lives a long life because I never want to have to make another decision like I did with his father.

Thank you, Jeremy & WS *HUGS* I've fallen in love with him, he has so much love to give and it's so hard to keep from looking into those eyes and not just wanting to hold him and cuddle him. I play with him constantly and he is so much like his father it is unbelievable.

You're right, he is full of energy, it's incredible and does get into everything, even things I didn't even know he'd be able too! He is definitely a renegade, that's for certain. But I'd never change it!.

I kind of wish it'd not change, but then on the other hand I am looking forward to watching him as he grows and learns every step of the way! *Hugs you both again with love*

Alrd, Renegade is absolutely too cute!!

Three days ago, I got a present. My mom brought me a box. I'm like.. hrm...

Turns out a friend of hers had puppies he/she couldnt keep, and had gotten rid of all but one. The remaining one was going to be dumped on the side of the road

My mom, being almost as big a softy as me, brought him home.

I fell in love  and upon looking at his face, promptly named him Bandit ^_^

Also, if you check my current profile pic, you'll see Alky, whom I rescued from a dumpster, of all places  when he was so young, his eyes weren't even open :(

Anyways, those are my babies :)

Thank you, HoS (hope you don't mind, hornyinsocal :) ), and DC, but with all the sad threads, I thought it'd be nice to have a happy one up here too, one where everyone could show their new friends. *hugs to all here*. I hope it keeps going for a long time too!! Just have to let others know it's here so they can post their pics or let everyone know about their new family members!! :D

Congratulations to HoS I can't wait to see the pictures!! I'll bet he is gorgeous, and I can imagine you are having a great time with him. I know he won't ever take the place of Kahn, but he will help fill that emptiness, just like Rebel does. I really look forward to see him, I'm so happy for you and him. That learning stage is so cute!! That's what we're going through, but then it takes a lot of patience too. LOTS of patience, but it goes a long ways!! *HUGS*

Alicia, he is adorable!!! and thank you also, what a beautiful thing you and your mother did, and I'm sure Bandit has the perfect home!! Thank you for being such a generous person and loving also to give such a precious puppy a loving "mother". *hugs*

I agree with both you, Shep, and DC, that is a horrible thing to do to a living breathing, animal. I never understood how anyone could do that, and always felt the same thing should be done to those who do that to others, or they should be made to work with abused animals, under strict supervision of course.

Anyway, congratulations again to both HoS and Alicia, what wonderful additions to your families!! *BIG HUGS*
