No need to get hostile, haha, it's not like you made the code yourself. :P It's fun to play with, but just not practical to use in the real world because of how difficult it is to decode. ^_^ Personally I think we should find something simple, a letter or a symbol with no current meaning(not zeta or a paw) that we jot down on a note, something very inconspicuous, in the corner of a piece of paper, that would mean nothing to a non-zoo but would mean something to a zoo that recognized it. If a non-zoo asks what it is you could say it was just a random thing or letter you wrote to test the ink in your pen, etc. That's the kind of thing I would do if it were up to me. ^_^ |

I'm for a simplified version of the code.
Perhaps a symbol...say a paw print, with the standard "pad" and four smaller "claw marks", with info placed in each. Just the basics; Maybe in the pad have the zeta symbol, in the smaller claw marks have your age number in one, your years active in the lifestyle (not the age you began) in a second, something to show which type of animal your prefer in the third (like a smaller paw, a hoofprint, etc.), and in the fourth...I don't know, maybe a sign for your sexual orientation? (I know, a drawing to illustrate would make more sense...but I don't have PhotoShop handy, sorry -_-) I'm thinking something like dog tags (not the pet collar ones, the ones like soldiers wear)...lots of information in a small space. But coded in such a way only your average zoo could understand? Or maybe I'm just babbling. If so, ignore me (lol). ^_^ |

That might work but its getting ALL zoos to go along with it ... But maybe if we here were to meet each other then It might be a go. OF course we could all just add this to our Signatures if we are talking to each other great now Im b abbling  |

Take all the opinion stuff out and make it short and something that you could either remember or just be able to come up with from your real life. Something so you could go; Hey how are you? I am R2d2-x3 what about you? People would know what that ment by just saying it and could be like wow I like R2 also but never tried d2. People would think your nuts. It would still be better then the telephone sized guild you have to go through to find everything. |

I found the code interesting, but on the note of practicality, I'm under the impression this is not a code to use in real life situations to send an encoded message to another person of your preferences, et cetera, but rather be tossed into a forum signature, a profile comment, or something similar so that anyone who was interested could learn how you feel about certain aspects of the zoo life-style or history without you describing every little thing at great length, and more than likely repeatedly. Of course, the usage would only be applicable in a zoo community itself, and only one that was familiar with the code already, but I can see its convenience in such a situation.
Even so, I'm not motivated in the least to create a code of my own, as I have no problem with answering questions personally instead of bracketing my experiences and views into a semi-ambiguous demographic that is subject to interpretation. |

That's a very nice one in your post, Mrs.kinky9couple!
The zeta symbol on it's own is available as a small pendant or pin, from ZetaCreations. (zoofur.com/related) This post has been edited by Skyrune on May 30 2008, 08:22 PM |
