Since this poll concerns humanity on a macro scale, I went with hate. We've done much more bad than good for this planet, and what good we do manage to accomplish is generally to reverse damage we've caused ourselves. We're a selfish species in the grandest sense, and that's the central foundation of my misanthropy.

Now, that's not to say there aren't good people, and I have met a fair share of them. However since this poll was not in their regard it's not enough to tip the scales.

I love people. Even when I hate them, I love them. I wish I could explain better than that.

I went with 'don't mind' because I have the uncanny ability to overlook entirely too much of the big picture in individuals. The human race, on the other hand, is a different story. I do not see people in general as wholesome creatures, seeing as they are the only ones on this planet capable of genuine hatred. I also tend to think about how many people there are out there that have stuff handed to them, and it only keeps me going knowing how many life lessons they miss out on, and how they miss the opportunity to be creative. How many people do you know that have built shelves out of an old set of running boards from a truck? :huh:
Animals are much different. The only reason for an animal to convey violence is in self defense, or if they are gravely ill (i.e. rabies). They will not attack for no reason unless taught to do so by a human. Someone once told me about how he used to train Dobermans to be guard dogs. He trained them WITHOUT abusing them, and when he went to a junkyard once, the guard told him to stay as far away from the dogs as possible, because those are some mean dogs. He walked right up to the Doberman, called him by name, and gave him a pat on the head. The guard's jaw had to be picked up off the floor, of course. ;)
Anyhow, I'm rambling just a tad bit, but it's just my two cents.

I don't allow myself to hate; my personality here on BF matches my personality in the real world :) I'm as friendly as can be to those who respect me. :beer:

Most people see me as a kind, mysterious albeit a little disturbed, socialite, yet ironically I would much prefer to be alone rather than around or with other people.

I have a disdain for humanity in general and am ashamed to be a part of the race every now and then.

I wasn't sure what to vote, I only like certain people and they have to really get to know me first. I prefer animals to people mostly, but that doesnt mean I cant get to know a person and I would be ok with them around me, It really depends on the person.

number 3 for me. I am not at the Hate stage yet. But then I try to keep my lifestyle underwraps. So I've yet to have any face to face death threats etc. But I don't doubt that at some point in the future I'll reach the hate level.

I voted that I "don't mind people." Sometimes that's very true.

Now that I rethink things, I really don't care for people too much. I enjoy their company, and I'd love to be around them more, but most of the people that I happen to encounter have attitudes that I'm not interested in. The human population does many ignorant/stupid/dumb things half the time, and it's just something we've all got to live with.
Me, I don't know, I kind of keep to myself. I have yet another reason to nowadays. But that's something personal. (My family sucks - and it has nothing to do with zoo. Woohoo.) I'm alone for at least 10 hours out of the day. I have the two cats and one dog with me, but when it comes to people, real live living humans, nobody's here but me. I don't get out of the house. I stay here day in and day out. Only if the boyfriend wants to go somewhere do I leave.
I dunno. I guess I truly don't really mind people. I'm a little depressed with the way my life works, but I think it would be x10 worse if I had more people around.


People tend to start drama, whereas animals don't. You can talk to your animal all day and they'll still love you. They don't judge. The care, and they love you.



Oh, and btw, I'm not dead. I just haven't really popped in for a while. So I'm still around. ;)

because of my job some days i hate everyone and some days i even hate my self but i know at the end of the day i get to go home to my girl dogs . :D
