oh yeah, on the same line as animal rights activists, I don't like anyone with the "holier than thou" attitude. And anyone who spews out misinformation or twisted/altered "facts." Or just as bad, the "preachers" who tell everyone they are going to hell because they are gay, look at porn, dress a certain way or eat more than 2 meals a day.

I'm sorta wondering if people are talking about people generally or those they know personally. I'm lucky in that the friends that matter to me know I'm zoo and accept that and that might have something to do my positive disposition to people. If I had to vote again about people generally, I might have other opinions.....

If we're talking about people in general, I can take them or leave them and I usually leave them. I have to work with people in my job and I am good in social situations but I am most comfortable around the few people I know well.

Realistically I could chose all four.
I try very hard not to give in to hate, but sadly there are some people in the world who deserve it. I chose "I don't mind" though. I tend to have a rather dim view of human nature on the whole. Arrogant and the "I think this way so I'm automatically right" types really put me off; I won't even deal with them. If someone is rude or a jerk, I've no qualms about walking off. I don't argue with them...why waste perfectly good breath? On the flip side though, there are truly good people out there. People who are unselfish, caring, trustworthy. I strive each day to be one of them. Humanity is one great balancing act, I want to be on the good side of the scales. So I don't mind people in general. It takes all types to make our world go 'round...good, bad, and indifferent. The good ones are what make life worth living. B) |

I'm disliking people more and more every day. That doesn't mean I won't be your friend. ^_^
It's just because the world we live in. I much prefer the animal kingdom. ;) |

As long as someone obeys the laws of civility and common courtesy I have no problem with them. However break these and all of my animosity shall flow into them like so much alcohol into a drunk fraternity.

i couldn't live with 'em and i couldn't live without 'em.
if i spend a week or more by myself and my animals i get to wanting to call someone up and see a movie. but as soon as i spend more than a few hours with them i remember why i didn't want to in the first place. but i do work in retail... that doesn't help. as soon as i'm off work i dont want to see a single human until i have to work the next day. the time i most have problems with other people is when i'm out hiking with my dog. if i hear someone far off i veer as far away as i can. its just a personal pet peeve, i guess... but if i'm trying to enjoy nature with only the company of my dog i REFUSE to let a person or a random conversation with a person i've never met ruin that peace. but like others have said, i couldn't live as a hermit or anything. i do require interactions with people to feel sane. |

I have nothing but love and respect for people. As humans, we should all feel this way.
:angry soapbox: What's wrong with the world is that people don't love or care for one another nearly enough. Yet man's inhumanity to man isn't an excuse to hate your own species. Lower animals aren't capable of "inhumanity" since they are limited solely by instinct. Only human's can make choices that effect the entire world. Too many people care more about animal rights than human rights. If people would put half as much effort in caring for their fellow humans, perhaps the world would indeed be a better place, don't ya think!!! :angry soapbox: |

What silkythighs said!!
If people took a bit more time to be humane rather than human then the world would be a better place. There are far more good, ordinary people everywhere in the world, who work hard to home, feed and clothe themselves and their families than evil greedy people who always make the headlines. Many of them can only dream of what we have.......... but if you ask them, they don't hate the world, they just want more of a fair share. |

I went with don't mind some other people though I have to say the majority of people I meet and have to deal with day to day do my head in, and i struggle to feel any compassion towards them.
I love spending time with some of my friends and we have a damn good time getting wasted, watching films etc, though I do find it very hard to seriously care for any person accept my closest family (mum, dad and sister) and one friend I have known for almost my entire life. I do hope to eventually have a long term relationship with a girl who shares my zoo interest, but I have a larger desire to have my own animals. |
