One of my dogs had died and for some odd reason one night I thought my self how it would be so cool just see my dog again,, so that night I went bed and in my dreams my dog appeared to me, I mean was so real it was like he was right next to me, but ever time I went reach out for him I couldn't.. And since then he has appeared to me one other time in a dream

That's happened to me a bunch of times too, it's painful and beautiful, I've lost so many beloved animals, more like friends and lovers in each case...sometimes those dreams are that "just one more minute" we often want with them after they leave us... -_-

awe I've had some dreams like that about my family dog when i was younger. Nothing sexual just like playing at the park with them. :(

I had a terrible dream last night. I actually woke up crying, and I don't think that has happened to me before. I dreamed JP was leaving me after a fight, and he told me he didn't love me anymore. After waking up, all I wanted to do was be with him again and hold him in my arms. I could not relax until I saw him again. We never fight so it was really shocking.
I've had a dream once like that before, similar thing happened, but I don't think I was as shaken up as today. Perhaps it was because it seemed so real, and I didn't realize I was dreaming until I heard I woke up.
I'm going to try this lucid dreaming to see if I can control things more.

I have had dreams about my beloved Pug, and even dreams about other dogs who are no longer with me.

Those dreams happen, hun...I've been having vivid nightmares frequently all my life and had dreams about my ex the same way long before things went bad, woke up crying alot then too. It's deep-seated fear, in my opinion...you care alot about him and him leaving is essentially your "nightmare". Your fear. It's natural missy, so don't let it bother you. It's not real, it's just your subconcious acting out what it's fears are, esspecially since you're engaged now you're mentally very, very strongly tied to JP and your mind is bound to latch onto things...it could just be nervousnes from the upcoming "life together" you're thinking about now...nightmares are always about our biggest fears or else they wouldn't be "nightmares". You had a nightmare, only that, a fear in the back of your mind, something you wouldn't want to happen... it's not real and you'll be just fine. :friends: :flowers:

its your minds way to help you realise and confront your fears. talk to your partner about it. obviously if he loves you, he will try to comfort you, and reassure you that it wont happen.

ive had countless vivid dreams, many about zoo sex before i allowed myself to admit it. i was afraid that if i amitted it, i would be dirty, shunned, and that noone would want a woman who was into sex with horses and dogs. (little did i know!!!) one day my Master brought it up, and it worked out that we were both into it without knowing about the other! now were happier than any couple ive ever met, i can fully trust him with my body, mind and soul, and our sex life is even better! (i think partially coz we have so much trust and understanding)
i still wont give our dog oral(which i did in a dream) but im working on it, slowly.
never rush into confronting your fears until your ready, or sometimes it will go badly, and you'll be left hurt by them, not liberated from them. ^_^

He has a way of knowing when something is bothering me, even when I think it is hidden from the world. First thing when he saw me, even a few hours after I woke up, he asked what was wrong. I told him I woke up crying and then said why. He just held me close; he is so sweet and caring, telling me he'd never leave me. Anyways, the next night he said "have good dreams" and I can't recall my dream from then, but it wasn't bad. ^_^

^_^ i forgot to mention, its also how your mind rationalises desires, often the ones that are socially unaccepted, or tabboo, and helps you rationalise fears.

Had a fantastic dream last night :o It started out with roaming around a farm, enjoying a couple animals that seemed to know me from previous encounters  and it ended with finding Guthwulf waiting for me in the farmhouse...and, uh, things continued from there...wow, was it a good dream! Best one in years, I think.

That's wonderful that it hasn't happened again hun, you got the reassurance your fears needed and with any luck it'll keep those inner-concerns at bay now ^_^

Great topic, missywolf ^_^

I've had dreams about animals before, but they have been few and far between.

That aside, to address some of the other posts in your thread...
(note: the following is merely my thoughts/interpretations of the subject. I'm no scientist, nor doctor, so I can't state this as fact.)
Dreams are what your mind does while your body rests. You see, the human mind, incredibly powerful entity that it is, operates on an entirely different time frame than that of your physical body. Hence you may be awake at times yet find it difficult to concentrate, or you may be exhausted physically but can't sleep because your mind keeps racing.

Dreams occur when your mind does slow down enough to allow your body to fall asleep, then "picks up where it left off" mentally. When awake, you can control (for the most part anyway) what goes through your mind. Worried about a fight with a loved one? Don't be silly, you say to yourself. I love them and they love me, I've nothing to worry about.. And so you dismiss the unpleasant thought and move on.

When you are asleep, however, you are not completely in control of your thoughts...hence, it's easy for your mind to wander towards any given topic. It can be a pleasant one (a dream about animals), or an unpleasant one (fight with a boyfriend). Waking up crying from a bad dream is nothing to be ashamed of...indeed, it is completely normal for any human being to do. Of course, that doesn't make them any less unpleasant, but we can at least take solace in the fact that "it was only a dream".

Another part comes into play also...your control of what goes through your mind while your body sleeps is greatly reduced, but it not eliminated. This is why people suddenly "snap awake" while in the midst of a dream; Their mind is off doing something crazy, and suddenly their conscious shouts out, "Hey! That isn't really happening? What's goin' on here?!"
(It's also why you sometimes hear about people having that dream where they fall from a high distance, but wake up just before they hit the ground.)

It is possible to gain greater control over your dreams; in point of fact, I've been in the middle of dream, woken up, fallen back asleep and stepped right back into where I was before (even so far as having the people I was dreaming of ask me where I went!). But for many people, waking up is the easier way, since that's the defense mechanism your conscious can rely on the most readily.

The point where you realize that you are dreaming, yet are able to keep from waking up upon that realization, is very fine and fragile. But if you are careful you can control certain aspects of what goes through your mind while your body sleeps, just as you can while you are awake.

Pleasant dreams!

I had a dream where I was a werewolf looking for a sexy wolfess to take as a mate.

... I woke up as I found one. :pinch: Dammit!

And Skyrune, that's some awesome information. Thanks! :D
