This is so weird that you posted this topic. I've been noticing more and more those that I've come across who are into zoo are also into that. I swear, it is not even 9 out of 10, it has been 10 out of 10!!!

I don't believe there's anymore to it other than sheer coincidence. If you're less inhibitited about one "taboo" it stands to reason others might not seem all that off either, or at least one would be less inclined to be shocked by it.

Also this is something that's way to general. I don't know how many here watch it, but I've seen enough hints in anime I kind of wonder about perceptions in Japan.

I've seen quite a variety of genres, that at points have made playful refferences, sexually tense and awkward situations, and "perverse" dads trying to put the moves on their daughters(series without nudity, or any sex taking place too).

Now obviously it's hard to get a good idea about things from an animated series. However, when it's a series that isn't hentai. Clearly something inspired the writters to put the related characters in those situations. And for things to not be handled in a "taboo" fashion.

I've not tried tracking down much factual information on the subject. But it does make me wonder if perhaps such things are not shocking occurances.

Japan is pretty comfortable with it's fetishes, they just keep it semi-under wraps with the more uptight west. They litterally have vending machines for used panties. And have establishments where you can buy or....rent.....time with lifelike lovedolls. I just learned about that one.

So again what is or isn't taboo or a shocking thing is largely relevant to the personal and cultural perceptions of it.

I actually don't feel there is a direct correlation between incest and bestiality. I think they are two separate desires. But I do believe that many of each fetish or lifestyle, are active in the other as well. I believe those who put them together are condemning anything in society that they are uncomfortable with. Things may be good or bad, but just because you do not approve, does not mean they are joined together, or part of the same.

I also do not believe it has anything to do with how hot mom looked, how sexy dad was, or how your sister or brother had grown into a fine looking and sexy person. That might have been the final chapter that kicked off that first kiss, or fondling touch.

I believe the one common thread that both incest and bestiality share is a "desire", not the same, but of course similar to any desire. Yes, The first time I caught my mother with a friends dog licking her, it made me feel at peace to some degree. What I had done and what I would continue to do, with a dog in the future was now okay. It seemed that since my mother did it, I was good. I was okay.
