Any of the Felidae family could be melanistic. Its most commonly found in the genus Panthera. You could have a melanistic panthera leo (black lion), melanistic panthera tigris (black tiger), like my kitty baby a melanistic panthera onca (black jaguar), or a melanistic panthera pardus (black leopard). We use panther because its easy and we dont speak latin. It probably came from the genus panthera...just take off the a and you have panther. All of the above cats are in the sub-family Pantherinae, well the other "large cats" are in the sub-family Felinae (including the genus Felis catus, better known as the house cat). The sub-family Pantherinae, could also be leucistic (white). You could have a melanistic panthera onca, a leucistic panther onca and a panther onca all in the same litter (a black panther, a white panther and a normal panther). It is how the mommy kittys dna and the daddy kittys dna matches up.

Someone said it would be better to let big cats stay wild (I am sorry I can only quote one person). I feel the same way. But I have a melanistic panther onca, and if it was not me who had him he would be in a zoo. I live in florida and my parents back yard is right up aginst the everglades, so at night he runs around killing things and bringing them back to me, then keeps me warm and lays in the bed next to me. I had him since he was just a little kitten. I could pick him up in my arms. I carried him home in my backpack. He was tied to a tree with a rope that was cutting his neck. It might not be a true wild life, but according to US customs (they were the ones who went over my case when I found him) he was arranged to be sold between two drug dealers. So they could fight him with pitbulls. But if he wanted to he could just run off, he seems to like living with us. I love him and my parents and little sister think he is cool.

Its hard to talk about because I cant tell my parents. I dont think my friends would understand. People on the internet are mean. I feel bad sometimes. Like I am doing something wrong and I should say something about it, but I dont know who to say anything to or what to say to them. He is not just some panther [melanistic panthera onca] he is my kitty. Sometimes I feel like I am all alone in the world and there is nothing I can do about it.

I really often feel such, i`m the closest in the world to my sister, but still feel i cant say things on beastuality to her...and i dont say many many things to my parents, if i do say something i feel bad about it, or that their gonna hate me,punnish me or make fun of me for it...thats how i grew up feeling like, you cant really trust people much.....i say things more on some sites, but i never tell who i really am..trying not to care what strangers think of me......i`ve been physically,sexually and verbally abused all my life..now i have psychotic problems!! if people dont like you, dont like them..try not to be dependent on them..though i`m not a good example...this world is not fair, i`m very suicidal myself.........this seems to be a rather safe site tho, not harassing
i`m new to exepting zoo-philia, and often feel bad about it..i live alone in apartment with 2 domestic cats, but i miss my dog and other 2 cats....its hard to be sexually attracted to dogs and hardly ever seeing one :unsure:

Thank you Wicked Mutt. You made me feel a little bit better about stuff. You also made me feel sad about the things that you have had to go though and the things that happened to you. I am very sorry if I brought up bad or unpleasant memories.

I also have a sister, she is 3 years younger then me and she is getting to the point where guys are cute. So she starts asking me about guys and how to do things and basically looking up to me for advice. I love her a ton...but I have only gotten with one guy and we were only together for like a year. I totally like guys, but there is all that crap you have to deal with that I hate. Like I ran up to a friend who was just walking on the sidewalk and hugged him, because that’s what we do. Hug each other randomly like that when we see each other. My boyfriend was way pissed at me for hugging a guy that was not him. Then I have to get in trouble from him and listen to him bitch and whine about how I go around and hug random guys and then hugging leads to kissing and kissing to sex. Guys have like a super ego imagination. Where if you are not only paying attention to them, they start making up all kinds of crap that never could even happen. The friend I so-wrongly hugged is not only gay, but like Sir Elton John gay. (on the preview, it puts a horse with wings after Elton John but I am sure you can figure it out) You can tell from about a mile away. There is no chance I would have ever gone out with him, nor him going out with me. I saw no problem with simply hugging a friend. I got so sick of putting up with crap like that I dumped him. Now I am supposed to explain how to be with a guy to my little sister? On top of that I am supposed to find a way to explain...well explain this, as in this website, to her? I am not afraid that she would tell but just that she might not like me because I am different.

I love both my parents and just like my little sister, we get along really great. But again, I am supposed to explain everything to them in some way they understand?

My long and convoluted point is; that part where you said if people don’t like you, don’t like them...does not work for me. I would just avoid any problems to start out with. Instead of trying to explain everything to everyone and just hoping for the best, I'll be my normal happy and loving everything self and not say a thing. I am a very happy person and I am smiling and laughing all day. I love myself and everything about me. If I had a magic fairy wand and could *pOoF* anything I wanted, I would never need any poofing. I just wish that sometimes, people would not get so hung up with forcing others to bend to their will. Things are not morally good or bad based on what someone else says.

i`m glad, and i try to face my problems without getting upset.. guys(human) can be really a pain..i can be overly submissive when it comes to sex things..i dont have much confidence...yet i never had a stabel or truily loving relationship..my sister and mom are the only people i know that had hardly any boy troubles...my freinds being constantly cheated on and even raped!! i`m not looking for a boyfreind now....i rather like being alone..but not all the time......hmm.. i was the younger sister in my family..and would act like yours does...I never was any kind of rolemodel...i dont know what to really say..maybe more independence could help her?.... people to nice or feeling sorry for me, makes me feel weird..lol

I am not someone who can just be mean to people. I like being nice to people anyway. I never ment to make you feel bad. You really made me feel better and all I was trying to do was the same.
