Hi I'm Anna.

We got the call early in the morning. We knew that the call would come one day and when it did, it would be too soon. But we did expect that there would be some warning. Something that hinted that Mom was ill or that her health was declining. So the call was a devastating shock. My Mom had died.

As we drove north of the Golden Gate to the assisted living home in the beautiful rolling Napa hills, we kept reflecting on how well my Mom looked last week. She was in her late 80's and a little over weight but she seemed well. What happened?

As we drove to the main entrance, the home director greeted us. "Mrs. Johnson, Mr. Johnson, we are so sorry for Helen's passing. Please come in.
"From all indications, your mother had a massive heart attack. She did not push the emergency button that was within her reach so we believe that she died before she could react. Helen used the switch to block the cameras and microphones in that area of her suite so we could not monitor her activities last night. A lot of ladies like to keep some part of their lives private. In any case, when she did not respond to the breakfast call from her friends, we went to investigate and found her. She looked so peaceful so we hope there was little or no pain at the end. She has been moved to the funeral home. We can request an autopsy if you wish."

"Thank you, Marilee, you and your staff have been so kind. Devin and I are going to the funeral home to view Mom and make a decision after that. Thanks."

We drove to town and viewed Mom. She looked at peace. After a lot of tears, we drove back to the home. We were greeted this time by Mom's friends.

"Anna, may the "girls" meet with you alone? Some of the guys will take your husband out for a round of golf."
"Certainly."

I had met Judy, Ellen, Joyce, and Mary many times before. They were all lovely ladies who aged well.

"Anna, you know we all loved your Mother so much. Her loss has to be terrible for you. But we wanted to let you know something before you hear rumors. And you know rumors can be distorted and cruel."
"Rumors? Judy, what kind of rumors about my Mother? She is just a sweet old lady."

"Anna, please remember that we are her dearest friends and would protect her with our lives. That is why we are with you. Please listen and wait before you react. Please."
"Judy, what is going on? What about my Mother? OK. OK. I'll be quiet and listen."

"Anna, your Mother died having sex with her lover. He tried to clean her up but we were fortunate to discover her before the staff. We finished what he started and believe that all traces were removed."
"What?! My Mother had a lover?! She died having sex with him?! Why didn't he call the doctors while there was still time?! How could he just let her die?! Why did you have to clean up after him?! Why did I not know about her lover?! Why? Why? Why? (Sob, Sob)" I was shouting and crying and trying to catch my breath. I can't believe that my sweet Mother had a secret lover and a secret life. This can't be true. These are lies.

"Anna, Anna" Ellen tried to embrace me but I just pushed her away.
"Damn, Damn, Why did Mom have to die?! If she had a so called lover why didn't he call someone?!!! Why did he leave her to die? I don't believe anything you are telling me. These are all lies."

"Anna, Anna, Listen to me. Calm down and listen quietly. That's why we are here with you. Please, please ....."
"OK..... OK.... OK Judy, what happened?"

"Anna, there are a lot of older women and few men. The men who are here think they are God's gift to women and many take advantage of us. Some of these men have social diseases that they are spreading to innocent women. Some are bastards who just sweet talk women and take their money. Growing old does not mean that we don't want love and affection. Yes, part of the dirty secret is that many older women are now lesbians, not us, but many of the women. But even these women miss the feeling of a man."
"Anna, you are so lucky that your husband is still with you. He must make love to you all the time." It was Joyce who spoke.

"Joyce, are you kidding? Devin can't keep it up any more without his pills and even these are not working so well any more. Since he is not big into oral sex, Devin is now more like a brother than a lover.
"Yes, I can understand how a woman can miss the intimacies she had earlier in life.
"But what does this have to do with Mom. Who was her lover? Who is the bastard who left her to die?"

"Anna," now Mary joined in, "your Mother had the perfect lover. He provided intimate sex without fear of STD's or fear of him spreading rumors. Your Mom could not get pregnant but he cannot impregnate a woman. He can love her any time she wants and as much as she wants. His capabilities are unrivaled by any of these men. She had a perfect lover."
"Mary, what BS is this? Was her lover some kind of powered toy or dildo? There is nothing like what you describe."

"Anna, you have met Butch."
"Sure, Butch is her dog. What? What are you telling me? My Mother f**ked a dog!!! This is sick. Did you ladies start her on dogs? Are you a witch coven that gathers around to f**k dogs. Is this the BS that you are giving me? Do you all get naked and help each other abuse your dogs? This is rich. Lesbian bitches f**king dogs. I can't believe any of this. I hope this isn't the awful filth that you are spreading. I'll sue your asses over this."

"Anna, it is true. Butch is your Mother's lover. He's been with her now for five years."
"That's BS. My Father was still alive five years ago."

"Yes," it was Ellen, "your Father helped your Mother with Butch. He wanted her to have Butch and both he and Butch loved your Mother together."
"What?! My Father knew all about Butch and even helped him f**k my Mother?!
"I can't believe it. I can't believe it. More lies. More lies."

"Anna, your Father really loved your Mother and want her to continue to have sexual pleasures and companionship. Remember your parents had a dog before Butch? Remember Fred?"
"Fred?! Fred was her lover too? How long has this been going on? Was Rex her lover too? What about Alphie? Oh, Jesus, Mom has had a dog for a lover since I left for college!!! All those dogs whose names I can't recall. Are you telling me that they were all f**king my Mom? My sweet Mom?"

"Yes, Anna, your Mother was a zoo long before she met us. She helped so many women. Your Mother was wonderful for everyone."
"Oh my God. Oh my God. This can't be true. This can't be true. Not my Mom. Not Mom" and I began to cry as I let Judy, Ellen, Mary, and Joyce hug me as the enormity of Mom's passing and learning her dark Secret swept over me. As my tears flowed, I could feel a great release deep in my heart. My Mom was gone. Her Secret was now shared. My dear Father was so much a part of her and he too was part of the Secret. Now what do I do?

I had to find more about my Mom. I still can't believe what Judy, Ellen, Joyce, and Mary are telling me about my Mother. It can't be true.

"Judy, tell me more if you can."
"Anna, your Father was wonderful. I know that it is hard for children to believe that their parents are sexual beings that crave physical satisfaction. Your Mother had a sex drive that your Father could not satisfy even in his youth. Rather than turning to other men, your parents decided very wisely to have a dog for her lover. The family dog can be always around and no one gives him a second thought. This started before you or your siblings were born; well before you went to college. All of your dogs were her lovers."

"You mean my puppy was my Mom's lover? Bernie was f**king Mom?"
"As a puppy, Bernie was your pet but when he matured, he also became your Mother's lover. Your Mother always had a dog that was in his prime.
"As your Father aged, the dogs became more and more a part of your Mother's sexual life. When they move to this home, they hid her zoo relationship. We suspected that your Mother was a zoo but we would never confront her.
"Many of the women were already zoo and so many were beginning to learn of the benefits. I can't recall exactly how your Mother discovered that she was living amongst zoo sisters but she approached me one day and asked me directly if I was aware that so many women had dogs as lovers. She had long suspected that I too was a zoo so asking me was easy. Your Mother was wonderful as a sister and as a teacher. So many women were "awakened" with your Mother's assistance and because of her, they live rich, meaningful lives.

"Judy, what happened to Mom?"
"Anna, we think that she and Butch were tied when she had her heart attack. It must have been massive and so sudden that she died before she could trigger her alarm. When she did not answer Ellen's morning call, we went to her casita and found her. Butch had tried to clean her with his tongue but there was still some flow and wet towels that we wiped and removed to hide what had happened. We found some panties for her and called the office."

"Judy, Ellen, Joyce, and Mary, thank you for helping with Mother and letting me know about her. It is still hard to absorb what you have told me. I have no reason not to believe you but I still can't believe what I now know. I'll have to think about all this. I am, needless to say, overwhelmed."
"Anna, if you don't want to keep Butch, we understand and we have a number of ladies who would be happy to have him. Let us know what you would like to do."

"Judy, so will the rumors be about?"
"Anna, many women know that your Mother is a zoo. The women who know will never talk. But there are men and some women who are suspicious and will start rumors. You just need to ignore them. The staff will never tell anyone. It would destroy the reputation of the home if it were widely known that the women were zoo. There have been women who were full of dog cum when taken to the hospital or the funeral home but none of this ever becomes public.
"We wanted you to know the truth so that when you hear the rumors you can just smile and ignore them."

"So, all of you are zoo's and have dogs?"
"Yes, and we have helped many women."

"My Mother knew that Devin and I were aging and she had to know that my husband had to be losing his sexual capabilities. Why did she not help me? Why did she not share her Secret with me, her own daughter?"
"Anna, your Mother wanted so much for you to be happy. She shared what she knew about you with just the four of us. Your private life is safe with us.
"Your Mother knew of your promiscuity before your marriage and the long term affairs that you were able to hide from your husband. She knew that your sex drive was like hers and that one man could not keep you satisfied.
"But she did not know how to approach you to share her wisdom. Your Mother could not be your sexual teacher as she has been to many women. Sex within a family has so many emotional inhibitions that she could not find a way.
"But many years ago, she asked that Ellen and I to help you if that is your wish. Your Mother was not certain if she wanted us to approach you while she was still alive and we were still waiting for her decision. Now, since you asked, we can ask if you want to learn what many women now know."

"Judy, this is so much to think about. I'll let you know later. ..... I hope sometime tomorrow."
